  • i came here because of ZZ TOP

  • ZZ Top FTW!

  • Thanks for posting this! This song sometimes feels like its too good to listen to...but then i start it over again \m/

  • Gibbons inspired me to grow my two foot natural adornment

  • there last stateside show on this tour was OFF THE HOOK! Frank Irwin center was heaven.

  • :-) Greets over the big Sea.

PS: Und ein "LeckmichamArsch" der Behoerden, die gerade versuchen ihre Schaefchen ins trockene zu bringen!

  • @w240ad Greets from the same side of the sea :D

/watch?v=7-fzzy8CmuY something like this, yeah? :D

  • :-) Greets over the big Sea.

  • man this song always gets me jacked up... the concept of concrete and steel makes me feel like pumping some iron. definitely a staple of my lifting playlist. not a body builder or even really tough but i sure do love to keep in shape.

  • Back in the ealy 90's when I was working on the Jamestown Bridge in R.I. we were in the pre cast making a bridge segment and this song came on.Hard work, grunting and sweating, but rock and roll will pull you through

  • hoffentlich höre ich das im nächsten leben weiter.

  • nahh...the lick at 2.57...well i play guitar since 1985..actually i know the exact time of buying this lp...i was 14....and it changed a world for me....now almost 30 years later...i own a little private studio....not professional...but enough to record my songs...

Thats lick at 2.57....wonder that someone actually noticed it....

  • I love the guitar tone in this song!

  • hell yeah this whole album is the shit, best one from them

  • The lick at 2:57 is one of the most classy sounding, and smooth masterpieces I've ever heard.

  • @FatBird11 That's why I like Gibbons, because of his virtue in simplicity.

  • @thacarofmiki

    I like your thinking.

I often use the phrase, the art of simplicity. If you can master simplicity, there are wonders within it most have never dreamed existed.

  • @FatBird11 Don't you feel the song you should keep going? I can't think of a reason why it was fade out. Maybe to make it fit in 3 minutes... Same with the song Tell It from the same album.

  • @iviarko I know what you're saying. I think they could have extended it, I still love it the way it is though.

  • @FatBird11 Same thing with Little Wing by Jimi, but it's still a masterpiece :D

  • The Last great Album From ZZ Top

  • legendary band, legendary tune!

  • Good album. But Afterburner was the '90 album, Recycler came out in '94.

  • @Bllackguard666 No man, Afterburner was released in 1985, Antenna and One Foot in the Blues were released in '94.

  • @Bllackguard666 Where did you read this? From Mp3's Id3v2? You are wrong. Recycler was really released in 1990 march 23rd , such as a "Back to the future III" movie. "Doubleback" from Recycler was used in movie, so Recycler couldn't be released later. Also all Afterburner music videos are signed "1985", not "1990".

  • @svartsvane You're 23. Shut up, only bands you know shit about is Green Gay and Nickelback. This shit came out before you were even a cum stain. I was 15 when this came out and remember getting Afterburner in 1990 for Christmas, it was labeled 1990. Remove the tongue ring, face piercings, get out of mom's house, and PULL UP UR PANTS!

  • @Bllackguard666 I just told you, you are really wrong and I wrote facts. You didn't. Instead, you started insult me. I'm really sad. I see, there is no chance for normal discussion with you. I could have expected this situation and I wonder how old are YOU?...

Look at official ZZ Top page, if you still don't believe me...

    Afterburner October 28, 1985

    Recycler March 23, 1990

    Peace. I leave this discussion.

  • @svartsvane

Correct, I have a Recycler Tour T-Shirt from 1990, I saw them in Philadelphia twice that year.

    Afterburner was 1985.

Soon this guy will be saying that Eliminator came out in 1987.....

  • @Bllackguard666 Dude, that is seriously uncool. Svartsvane's timeline makes more sense, and Double Back was definitely on the BttF3 soundtrack released in 1990 (track 17). I'm not saying that you didn't get afterburner in 1990 or whatever, but the facts are the facts.

And if we're just going to rely on anecdotal evidence, I remember getting Recycler while i was still in high school, so 1992 at the latest.

  • One of the greatest from ZZ top

  • album cover is so cool

  • WOW wtf, ZZ TOP RULES.

    ALL SONGS of them.

    wow

  • @krazy4baseball! Never heard it on radio here in England or saw any video! Maybe it was released in U.S!

  • Concrete...Bacon and eggs....the good old ways.

  • Best single they never released!

  • @62burnley it was too released

  • this brings back memories

  • The lick at 2:58 is BAD ASS!
