@raviel12345 It's the second part of the game that comes in the FES version. You play as Aigis. In the very first like 10 minutes she explains that he went to sleep, wouldn't wake up, and died the next morning. You can find all the cutscenes of the game on Youtube, I'm sure.

my best friend who made me play the game died in "a fire." Well he was somewhat like Minato according to all the personality quizz's (and I got Yukary every time :P) and watching this part of the game,is sort of emotional.I will try to play FES....And see what happens to 'him'

Hah, I already knew the ending before I played the game, but I've read somewhere that you get to choose who will be on the rooftop with you in the end. Guess that wasn't true, huh? Shame really, since I only had Yukari as a love interest and was kinda hoping that MC's final moments could be with her; instead I was barely ever talking to Aigis, and then suddenly this scene.

My interpretation:

He (the character you play as) was given only a few days to say goodbye to everyone. During the final Dark Hour, he gave up his life to seal Nyx away forever: he was given a few days to live afterwards as a present so that he could say goodbye to his loved ones.

@TooManyDrunks Well not really dead...I mean if you play Persona 4, Magaret would talk about Elizabeth who left her post to go search for a way to release him from the seal.

Apparently it seems that she has spent years trying to find a way to release him from the seal without releasing Nyx. Because the seal was basically his lifeforce.

But than again, this contridicts Persona 3 the answer, where the others thinks that his dead, but yet also say that he turned himself into a seal.

@rodinator3000 I still haven't finished The Answer yet (Add on from P3 FES). But around the beginning Aigis explains that he is in fact dead. However from what i've seen in the Answer so far he may not be so dead as we think he is... Not only that but in P4 a certain conversation in the game that talks mainly about Elizabeth gives hints about him possibly returning in another Persona game.

Yes. But I think it's only if you're the female. The male has to end with Aigis the first time you beat the game then whoever you're the closest to, I think. Only females, but I'm not too sure.

I just beat the game for the second time, as of about 30 mins ago. This ending still makes me tear up =,) =,( It's so happy and so sad all at once. I love that there's so much depth and meaning to it, and that the game has lots of stuff that happens after you beat the game. It makes it all feel that much more fulfilling, like you truly accomplished something great. =) Plus it's a great reminder to go out and tell your loved ones how much they mean to you.

For those who know what that tidbit of latin means, the opening practically reveals that the main character dies.

@ANEWPATHWAY Everyone moved on with their lives in P3 too if you played the answer. Minato didn't really have a choice just like Mary was in P1. If she didn't their world would still be a demon infested hell. In P2, all the characters lost their memories of everything they went through and if they ever remembered their world would end... again. I've played P1 and P2 when I was like 11 and those endings made P3 less sad to me. In my opinion, the only thing shitty about P1 was its translations.

I thought that was in EP only, it's been awhile though. Minato has to die and even than he doesn't get to peacfully as he has to seal Nyx. Also FES is my favorite game ever so I know everything about the plot.
