@krounds12 "Ten" was certainly a monumental album... along with "Nevermind"... "Badmotorfinger"... "Facelift"... and all of this just shortly after GN'R's "Appetite" and Metallica's "Justice"... GN'R and Metallica had just redefined a generation's worth of rock and metal... and then these four groups completely did a paradigm shift again. The late 80's - early 90's were the greatest groundbreaking years of rock (broadly defined) not seen since the 60's.
Also, thanks to 5 horizons for all of thier postings of Pearl Jam back in the late 90s/2000. I was too young and poor to go to shows then. It was nice to read though.

The way i see it is, Dave A fit the band so well back then, and if it wasnt for him then vs. probably wouldn't have been as good as it was. He took the band on in a different direction from ten. I guess when they were recording vitalogy the band didn't want to continue in that direction. However Dave A is my biggest inspiration in drums. His whole style and when he plays it is just magic! Anyway I wonder what he is up to now? he sort of dissapered after Green Romance Orchestra! anyone know??
