These guys have been my favorite band for several years now. I just can't get over the music they write.. I've never heard anything like it. It's simply wonderful. Die is my favorite guitarist EVER. Him and Kaoru don't ever try to melt people's faces with pointless shredding, but instead simply write great music. I love that about them.

(Part II) I Know He Used to Smoke, and Cigarettes always tend to deepen your voice, even if you stop with it (Ville Valo is another example). Third and MOST IMPORTANT of all. I understand Kyo. He don't cares if losing a high note, he just will try to express everything he feels inside of him. And He'll Give ALL he have when performing, and even all he Can't. Because Kyo is not a simple singer. He's much more than that. He's a true performer, he'll put everything of him into his singing...

(Part I) First of All, I`m not a Dumbass guy who simply says "Dir en Grey can't play Live", or "Kyo can't sing live". I Know, these guys simply give all they can during live performances, proof of that, the instrumental parts are amazing live. The Only Disappointing thing about their lives is Kyo's singing. Again, i'm not a dumbass, i understand First: It's Obvious that Relentless Screaming and Growling will start killing your voice during a long period of time.

@borded619 Hi there, I think that's his new Artist model bass from ESP. Not sure about the electronics but the shape is similar to the bass used by Ikuzone of Dragon Ash =]

@W1Nt3r48 Oh the touring live thing yea i'll agree with you, i myself have toured for months on end and I'll say my voice isn't the best of shape by the 3rd venue (out of 15 @.@) But it seemed like the Uroboros Album he had a trade-off moment, to keep singing crystal clear like in the Osaka Dome or Blitz 5 days moments or scream like i have been doing for more U.S. support. He chose the latter which is wise but gawd do i miss the blitz 5 days lol

For once, I wish I'd been there. I doubt I'll ever have the honour of seeing this man perform live. Even if they come back to germany, they won't play ballads, only hard metal songs people can headbang to. I almost asphyxiated once because of all the pushing and recklessness, and that band wasn't as hard es DEG. I wouldnt go to their concerts for headbanging for 120 min...half and half would be great.

Dir En Grey is just EPIC. There's no band on earth (at least in my opinion) that is this amazing on record and live. Skills and showmanship are just out of this universe!

They are the ONLY japanese band that I'm still following to this day!
