I know this is old but you CAN actually land on the spikes if you use the cape...

The only time I got a Crystal Skull was the most chaotic level ever.

There was a Crystal Skull in the 2nd world, but it was also dark. Plus, the dead were restless, plus there was rushing water, PLUS the Black Market exit was on that level.

And, said entrance was in the Crystal Skull tomb.

I eventually died on that floor via bomb trying to explode a Vampire.

Bow is actually sick as fuck, you can put bombs on charged arrows with the bomb button and make your own sticky bombs and the bow will only use arrows. You have to have at least a bomb tho, but if u have one then u can use the bow to get tons of cash from the walls really fast

I notice you always drop whatever is in your hands before opening a crate; you can open a crate with your hands full.

You probably already know this by now, but the shopkeeper can steal the shotgun back from your hands.

It's actually true that if you'r using the cape, spikes one kill you. That comes in handy in the jungle region.

Even if it goes off when you don't need it, it saves you from any fall damage.

Justa hint, but if you bomb where the kali idol or ghost idol is, the trap won't go off when you pick it up. :]

I did not know that. :o Usually I let the golden idol trap go off so I can unearth the loot in nearby walls, but I'll try that with the other idol. :3
