@Chinozs IMO it won't really matter, the macbook air 2011 is the first macbook airs with a sandy bridge processor instead of core 2 duo, that won't change for a good few years, so there really won't be much of a difference between 2011/2012. but apple is due for a design change, which means the 2012 macbook air could look completely different, its up to you. Im typing this on my 11'' macbook air and i am in love with it.

@florex001 welll, you CAN use a feature on macs called boot camp, which allows you to partition the hard drive (or SSD) and install windows or another OS on it. I don't think you can delete the Mac OSX partition though. you can make the windows one really big though, and the mac one really small.

@chuckinator0 I think because the 13" has extra spaces that aren't really necessary compare to the 11" which is suitable for normal people but its up to you whether you like faster or bigger MBA. :)

@EvanaSoSick High end is double the memory (RAM) and storage, this makes quite a bit of difference. THe base 64GB is pretty small TBH.

@EvanaSoSick davomrmac has already explained the differences, but i think for a student the lowered would be better, as your lack of hardcore apps means less space is needed, and you would probably be better off if it was a cheaper, more portable one, so i think the lowered would suit you down to the ground from your description.

I just got the same model. I've put in about 1.65gb of music, 5.25gb of movies, and microsoft office which is about 900mb but already it says that i've consumed 30gb and only 29gb is left available. I don't get it. I know there are applications and other stuff but come on!!! I've only put in around 8gb of stuff. Can someone explain to me why?

Do you find the trade off from 2.0GHz (Plus) Dual Core found in the last MBair for a slower 1.7'ish GHz CPU with a L3 3MB shared cache to be worth it?

Im kind of kicking myself in the teeth for getting the last refresh of the MBair with this one have the sandy bridge CPU and a back lite keyboard
