  • no dislikes. mass effect fans aren't dumb.

  • Brilliant piece of music which suits the situation absolutely perfect. Really does make it sound like you are in a race against time and the time has almost ran out

  • i never beat mass effect because it wasn't very good.

  • @mudkipvsditto yea i unistalled it after playing for a couple of hours. Reinstalled it during a boring weekend, waded through the dialogue and got mind fucked by the ending. Trust me you have no idea what your missing and if you try to play it after figuring out all the major endgame revelations you just ruined for yourself one of the best experiences of the gaming world

  • @cacharadoninwurm the companions suck the plot is dull. and the actual gameplay is awful fuck grammar

  • @mudkipvsditto your loss, no skin off my back

  • @mudkipvsditto mudkip vs ditto? I used to like pokemon when i was in grade 3. that was more than a decade ago. Mass effect spanks the living fuck out of pokemon chief.

  • @goochsurfer chief why don't we look at the number of units sold for each franchise. Mass Effect franchise has sold seven million units, not to shabby. Just pokemon red and blue are the best selling rpgs of all time; this does not include the games over the past decade plus. I believe you are wrong biodrone.

  • @mudkipvsditto Your point sucks a fat dick. I contributed to those sales, and I enjoyed the game, but that was before I had ever even had a bj. (Bro?) I'm an adult now, and I can say mass effect is better than pokemon, regardless of how many little children bought pokemon. Aha- you thought your point was relevant? My opinion still stands regardless of the statistics you wasted time digging up champ.

  • @goochsurfer So your opinion is now fact. Opinions can not be measured, statistics however can be. My STATISTICS show pokemon is better while your opinion would say Mass Effect. I believe the stats speak for themselves biodrone. Also I think its cute you're an adult hit me up later babycakes.

  • @mudkipvsditto Nice strawman, pretty cool bro. I never said my opinion was fact, I said regardless of the statistics showing alot of children bought pokemon, I can still state my opinion that mass effect is better. I'm 22, an adult as I had stated, I like mass effect better, pokemon had alot of sales with children but I couldn't care any less. You still don't realize that your opinion was irrelevant? Also, I think its pretty cute you like pokemon, inbox me slugger ;)

  • @goochsurfer Only a child would buy something as terrible as Mass Effect, so pokemon is still better if you are comparing them based on their being children's games which let I remind you that pokemon is played by many adults. Mass Effect is still shit, you lost biodrone.

  • @goochsurfer Bro where is your message I want to read it in all its glory. I LUV U HONEYBUNS MAYBE I'll GIVE YOUR BUTTHOLE A POUNDING TONIGHT MKAY.

  • @mudkipvsditto ewww gross.

  • @goochsurfer ARE YOU AGAINST GAY PEOPLE. FUCK YOU HOMOPHOBE!

  • @mudkipvsditto Lol I'm against getting my butthole pounded by another male, yes. Against gay's. no, cool strawman though bro. Why are you here in the first place if you dont like mass effect, you're a fuckin weirdo, go get a life boss.

  • @mudkipvsditto Sales dont matter as much to me! I wont buy a game cos it has sold good. I buy games cos of their good reviews and i bought Mass Effect 1 & 2 cos they are amongst the highest rated games ever and yes are even higher than pokemon!

  • @mudkipvsditto i love mass effect, and pokemon to no end, but they're two different games so you cannot compare them to each other. one is a sci-fi masterpiece, the other is a fun, epic journey to beat 13 people (gyms, e4). they're nothing alike. so im just curious as to why you decided to come to a mass effect video and bash it? it's like you wanted the attention. anyway, your fight with the other guy is hilarious, my bf and i were laughing our asses off at it ;P

  • @BlackRaptor31

I hate the fact that I'll never get to play a real Mass Effect, ever again.

Not counting the weak Gears ripoffs the sequels are.

  • @TheTWF Enlighten me as to how the same company with the same employees makes a game from the same series and somehow it magically is OMFG SO TERRIBLE <<:(

Define, specifically, how Mass Effect 2 is horrible in comparison to the original.

  • I really hope this kind of music returns in ME3 me2 was okay the only good songs where the suicide and humans are disappearing :\

  • @DixieRebelSon From what I understand the head composer for the ME 1 soundtrack to a leave and was unable to compose for ME 2, but he is returning for 3.

  • @BlackWyvernFS AWESOME then ME3 will have epic music! and it was Sam hulick who was the lead composer in ME1...i think =D

  • @Nmitch555 I'm stoked... I can NOT wait. :)

  • Just started my Insanity playthrough and I'm already finding all those different Geth platforms a bitch. Ilos is going to be a fucking nightmare . . .

  • "Cannot be stopped.....Cannot be STOPPED!"

    Chills. Bring on ME3!

  • Ilos was just so goddamn creepy. From the strange, humanoid looking statues (the protheans themselves?) and the desperate recording echoing trough the ancient stone walls, to the knowledge that all these cryopods used to contain protheans... Dead protheans, Bioware really managed to create the spooky feeling that you are not supposed to be here.

  • @xflox123 Indeed it did. Hearing this still gives me chills. When I first landed on Ilos I was agreeing with my squadmates. I was like: "Ummmm...okay. We certainly SHOULD NOT be here..."

  • @finstrike7

    Did you get lost ?

  • @Infernal460 Meh, only 3 times I think. The map helped but only just. Once I got the hang of it and killed lots of geth and krogan it got easier. Still the music didn't help any... lolz.

  • @finstrike7

Ahhh music telling me to run...

But where ? WHERE DAM YOU ?

  • @xflox123 i know dude when you realize all the cryopods are full of dead protheans your like omg they are all dead...

  • why cant ME2 and 3 have this 70's sci-fi feel?

  • This music gives off a smell of death

  • "There are secrets here that were meant to be forgotten."

  • This is true Sci-fi music !....To me the part on Ilos where this song is playing ,is the mere escence of Mass Effect ,I really wish they'd kept this song on ME2.

  • @toniquix indeed, so sci-fi and etheral, ME2 went down the route of the john williams style michael bay blockbuster

  • @toniquix this gave me chills in the game. So well done.

  • Xbox 720: Remake mass effect 1, 2 and 3. Package it together.

  • You know, Ilos was such a cool environment. It made the rest of the game look so incredibly pale in comparison to Ilos.

Every side planet was always the plain grass/ice/snow/volcano landscape with no detail.

And for the main plot planets, Virmire was just a simple grass planet with a coast, Noveria was a standard ice planet, and Therem was a volcano landscape.

Feros was ok though. Seeing the skyscrappers pop out of the clouds as you were driving on the bridges was kinda cool.

  • @RetlocLive Fero was my favorite of the main mission planets. But I was impressed with the landscape some of random planets you can land on. Especially Altahe, Antibaar, Solcrum and Maji.

  • moo

  • In my opinion, ME1 will always be the best, because everything about it was just so much more my style. It knew it wanted to be an RPG, so it let the RPG-ness be important. ME2 is a third-person shooter with talking. Seriously, no one should be calling it an RPG. There are too many games with choices anymore for it to be considered an RPG for that. The only thing ME2 has going for it is the universe created in ME1.

  • @XeutonMojukai If they cut down on the repetitiveness and added in headshots,ME1 would be the perfect RPG-FPS hybrid. Instead,in ME2,they took away all the modular upgrades, introduced the crappy cover system, and worst of all,put in that damn bloody screen. Srsly,I bet that bloody screen pisses every1 off regardless of the game it's in.

  • Blade runner effect or Mass effect effect :) the thing is just like battle star galactica, people that really love sci fi if they don't have play mass effect 1 and 2 or if theyr didn't saw battlestar galactica the fist sequel and the nex age one they just trust blade runner and total recall and ridick thing and then you have many film just pointing to some philosophicals thing but not he global like blade runner or dune or or or as you like :)

  • @Romax069 This is why punctuation was invented. Say what now?

  • This song gives me chills.

  • There's certain tones to this that make me think '80's movie soundtrack'...just the way the notes come across. That's not a bad thing; the music is enjoyable for its 'newness', but at the same time gives me a nostalgic feeling. They did an awesome job with the ME sound track, and I hope it continues on into the Third.

  • Listen to Gary Numan's song 'Random', and then listen back to this track. Plagiarism, slighty?! Perhaps 'influence' would be a fairer thing to say. But that's what's great about Mass Effect; it takes inspiration and influence from so many things in sci-opera and cyber-punk, fusing them together into one beautiful package.

  • @dantenebula Wow nice catch they do sound pretty similar.

  • Lucky for me I still have both games just finished ME1 again and now playing ME2 once again, lol i'm just waiting for ME3 hope they don't mess that up.

I'm Commander Shepard and Mass Effect 1-2 are the best games on Bio-ware Citadel .

  • Can not be Stopped ,Can NOT be Stopped!

  • Mass effect's story is more interesting and better written than 95% of movies, and every other game that has ever been made. The music is awesome as well.

  • @Wii60info

Mass Effect's story is just a sci-fi spin on the old "ancient evil reawakens" cliche from fantasy games.

  • @countrybluegrass I was about to say that as well, but even with all the clichés, Mass Effect still manages to maintain a somewhat unique and cohesive universe.

  • @countrybluegrass LMAO it's an exact copy of C'thulhu Mythos. =/

  • Hey Geth! You know where I can get a burgar around here?

  • When I talked to Vigil on my first playthrough, it gave me the chills. Just thinking about Vigil's age and the fact that it was made by the Protheans who lived like millions of years ago... And here I am... I just discovered this thing and I'm talking to it... DAMN. SO FUCKING EPIC!!!

  • @valtttu dude only 50,000 years or less :s

  • @RocketPr0peledGamer Yeah I know. :D

  • as I was playing through this, I was just thinking "How in the HELL is Shepard going to be able to beat these guys??"

  • I hate the fact that I'll never get to play ME1 for the first time ever again.

  • @BlackRaptor31 Yeah, but fortunately, the Mass Effect games are worth playing over and over again. =)

  • @BlackRaptor31 Believe me, when I played through the game in five days last week, for my first time, without spoilers, I'd never had so much fun in an ending =D

  • @BlackRaptor31 I'm working on a device that will enable me to forget about the game, in order to play it freshly.

The device consists of a sledgehammer, married to 80cc of morphine.

  • @DarkProject You better work on mass producing and selling this device. i need it before march 6th.

  • @deathwaitsfornoone We had to recall the devices, it appears they cause tumors, and cranial fluid loss.

  • @DarkProject Well, sell them under the table. Its worth the risk!

  • @DarkProject Yeah it would take a 700 N throw to the face to make me forget something as epic as Mass Effect

  • @BlackRaptor31 I just came by this vid thinking the same thing!

  • @BlackRaptor31 Yeah. Have that thought in the back of your head throughout the whole game. "This game isn't anything special. It's buggy and the combat is awkward." And then have your mind completely blown off the face of the galaxy as the story unfolds in the final few hours. Love the game so damn much.

  • @BlackRaptor31 I know that feeling bro.

  • @BlackRaptor31 Amnesia! It's the only way.

  • @BlackRaptor31 true story :(( I have the same :((

  • @BlackRaptor31 We should have a reset option as human beings - Would love to experience Mass Effect & Blade Runner for the first time again...

  • wait isent this from BR

  • music gives that feel, time is running out!!!

  • This song is one of my favs!

  • fuck this brings me back......i remember feeling on edge that this was the final mission with everything on the line

  • is there anywhere I can download this from? It's my favourite song in the whole game along with the one that plays in the new character intro movie!

  • @WardyTheWolf Firefox has a lot of add-ons that will allow you to download from here, or check out videodroid org to convert it to mp3 with the url from this vid.

  • This track has the perfect mix with that eerie whining synth and the pumping bass part, it emphasises you are on a planet of the dead where no one has set foot for at least 4000 years, possibly since the reapers left, hence the eerie part and yet it's still a desperate race against time hence the pumping bass, love it and wish they'd revived it for ME2

  • Sounds a bit like Miami Vice at the beginning

  • Yeah it sounds like someone is urinating in public restroom at the end

  • @nathancoates too right it is, I melted one xbox playing it and the next one might go the dame way !

  • Also I think it's super cool this hasn't gotten any thumbs down. Maybe the Mass Effect fanbase lacks douches:)

  • I totally listen to this song while I study. It's super sad though, imagine a planet of billions wiped out. I guess I just like sad music:)

  • God, I fucking LOVE this song. :DD

Definitely one of the best ones in the game.

  • BOTH GAMES ARE EFFIN' AWESOME !!!!

  • My personal opinion ( each to their own ) is that the mass effect storyline is one of the greatest ever in gaming, mass effect 2 had way more polish than mass effect 1, but I think some of those rough edges to the first game added appeal, both top class titles though, personally never cared for halo, the story never grabbed me although I have owned all the games at one time or another

  • @domswift mass effect is one of the best games made

  • I love Mass Effect 2... but the soundtrack. God, it doesn't hold a freaking candle to ME 1's soundtrack. ME2's soundtrack (to me) is just a bunch of generic chaos orchestra, with an occasional alright piece. Sometimes ME2's music is overdone and is rarely as original or nostalgic as ME1's.

  • @DeeROCK93

Listen to the track 'Samara' and say that.

  • @georock123 Oh true! (:

  • ME2 didn't have as powerful of an atmosphere.

    Well-developed characters though.

  • thaats what i though everything but atmosphere was improved. we never had the amazing planet of ilos althouh irrium was great if most of it wasn't corridors :(

  • No ME2 is not better than ME1, because both games deliver great experience and ME2 just didn't live up to most people's expectations...it was beyond their expectations

    Both games are fucking fantastic!

  • @spychi88 i think that ME2 was a better game, with better replay value, but it wasn't nearly as great of a story as ME1. one problem is that it's the segway between 1 and 3 and was almost like filler

  • @guaranic lets just hope that mass effect 3 will be epic enough to blow our minds away

  • While I think ME2 is the greatest game ever, I do believe that ME1 has the greatest soundtrack ever.

  • I remember playing this in 2008, the sunset light was pouring into my bedroom as I played alone, it really makes you feel some wired emotions, this song.

  • I adored this in game. My favorite song out of them all.

  • ME2 never had anything that makes you feel like being on Ilos

  • ME2 disappointed me.. no nuances or emotional music.. except on the start screen (fail) if finished it 3 times and have gonbe back to ME2.. still cant wait for ME3 hope it goes the way of halo ( 1- GOOD. 2- SHIT. 3-GOOD)

  • @x0xDarthWyylokx0x

    ME2 is not shit, bro.

You can't compare ME and Halo series in greatness.

  • well. perhaps shit is to unkind. more lacking in those some of the things thatt made the firts game great. the casual banter between squad mates. the outstanding sound track was a bit of a let down the presidium didnt even exist. (efectivly) i wasn't comparing halo in gameplay or story. just how the trilogy pans out. its still a great game. but not as good as the first onw

  • i found that ME2 had very emotional music. infact halo 2 was also better than halo 3.

  • fuck you.

  • really imaginative thing to tell some one...

  • i wasn't comparing ME to halo.. i was only saying that the trilogy may go the same way as halo in the quality of the game... ME is an RPG a fucking amazing one. i like that. Halo is a shooter. i dont mind that. but im just saying that halo 1/ME1 was amazing, Halo2/ME2 was crap and Halo three was good. who knows what awaits in ME3.

  • ME2 isn't crap. The vast majority of fans like the game and it got excellent reviews (better than ME1) and sold well. It is better than ME1 in every way. Don't state your opinions as fact and try to be more respectful to the developers that bought you the series.

  • but it was like star trek with the names changed. i applaud the creators. but, i just think that i wasnt as personal as ME1. i never said my opinion was fact. the game, for me, never lived up to its potential or hype.

  • 'ME2 was crap'. You said this.

  • compared to ME1 it is crap. but it is still a good game overall.

  • IN YOUR OPINION. And your opinion is crap. Now fuck off I'm tired of this conversation.

  • mass effect 2 wasn't crap. it was better. i don't get how anyone can not say that. however ME1 got me hooked i could imagin ME2 hooking me like ME1 did

  • @x0xDarthWyylokx0x

I'm also disappointed with ME2, they removed so much of the RPG-elements.

  • @GuysSeriously I completely agree, but its still overall the better game

  • Second face song in game just below the credits music.

  • this was probably my fave song in-game...was pissed when it wasnt on the OST. Proper feeling that you were coming up to the final moments....and yes...as below....the OST is Blade Runner-esque methinks too.

  • Definitely gives you that feeling of ancient alien abandoned world.

  • this level was really exciting, lots of action and the music gives you a "the final battle" feeling XD

  • 2 words BLADE RUNNER!!!

  • He say you BURADE RUNNAH

  • i just agree with that mr Japanese man O_O

  • Yu nah bee here... ewegal!

  • same of what i though

  • i only do eyes! just eyes!

  • exactly what I thought when I first heard this!

  • @x0xDarthWyylokx0x now all we need is a fade in of Rutger Hauer talking about attack ships on fire

  • @x0xDarthWyylokx0x I noticed that too, it almost sounds like the End theme.

  • i want the creepy music that plays when your in peek 15 an noveria CAN YOU DO IT!

  • The Mass Effect soundtrack is very good, but this song is the best of all. They should re-release the soundtrack with this one included.

  • i wish the actual helmet visors were like the one in that picture.

or just different altogether. the only things i hated about ME were that the human armor helmets were STOOPEED and that you couldn't customize the mako.

  • damn i wish i lived in the future.

  • They would've cured STDs by then. WAHOO

  • i know right. lol. but seriously it would be so cool to live in this future.

  • Um idk... space pirates, over population, Saren, the geth, Cerberus, and every alien race that hates you...

  • i dont care. i would do the same thing shepard does...kill them all.

  • Comment removed

  • oh yeah...lol

  • killer do you have a link for this song

  • god i miss this game....too bad i spilled my dew on th case =\

  • Hell yeah this is the real song. My favorite and it goes well with the creepy orange decaying planet of ilos with the dead protheans.

  • this song makes me want to live in the future with shepard and all the others

    xD

  • hmmm idk about that... cause then you would have the threat of the reapers

  • well if mass effect was true the threat of the reapers is only a few hundred years off lol. of course we'll all be dead before that

  • @Killerx20 But then Shepard will kill them and it will be awesome. =D

  • @Killerx20 Ha! At least a better way of dying than getting dragged to some pointless warfield by followers of some random dumbass psycho who managed to get too much power.

But, yeah, even with the threat of borg Mass Effect is pretty utopistic vision.

  • @Killerx20 i would fuck up some reapers with Shepard in the future

  • @Killerx20 Yea but you know Shepard will save the universe in the end.

  • the whole game makes me want to live in that future haha

  • @Runnerrmejor Can you imagine if that actually happened?

    "Who the hell are you?!"

    "I'm Runnerrmejor"

"How did you get here and why!?"

    "I liked the music!"

  • Comment removed

  • @SavageArms357 haha yeah xD I would show up in the Normandy and say "hello everyone, where is Tali? lol" Shepard would be like "oh wtf?" I would be like "yeah.. I liked the music, lets go to the club in the citadel" lol

  • @Runnerrmejor LOL!

  • Lmao it sounds like someone is taking a wiss at the very end in the background.

    Good song though!

  • heyyyy man come on.... maybe somebody was???

  • @Killerx20 Ah, dude, play the game... :P
