@kavscouser09 a little to late i already beat the whole game :/ and it takes more time to write properly so i write most of the worlds bad because i write quick
I considered it at points way before doing this particular run... as I've had a mic for ages...Except whats the point. Saying my thoughts on a battle that is pretty linear...boring. I'd rather hear the music. Some people do commentaries well on YouTube but most I've heard have been kinda average/boring/stupid.
rhasta77, u seem so pro at pokemon... and i suck :p i dont wont to challenge the elite 4 and lose... so could u please till me if im ready i kno for a fact i can take on the 1st 2 members cause of my levels (all level 55) heres my team: infernape -knos thuder punch staraptor -has a standard moveset garchomp -standard moveset gengar -hypnosis +dream eater and t blt milotic- ice beam and recover heracross- standard moveset =D
The top 3 pokes all synergise well enough to take down the elite four by themselves. An overlevelled or at the least a jolly (for enough speed to outspeed cynthias chomp) garchomp on its own will sweep the elite four after a single swords dance. I don't really like hypnosis on Gengar because of its lackluster accuracy. Anyway, I would be perfectly happy with that team...Would have to play pretty poorly to lose with it, especially if I healed up after each battle.
shadow ball and thunderbolt is fine. If you're going to use wide lens to increase hypnosis accuracy then you might as well get focus blast for gengar so you can take advantage of the fighting type. Not really a fan of dream eater though its ok for your purposes. If you've got the patience, you can find out what your hidden power type is, and use that if its ice or fire etc but its only really useful if it hits x4 super effective on their pokes...
Save, buy it from the game corner, teach it to the poke, use it in battle against various types and see what it hits type effective or ineffective against and eventually work it out. Or if you can find a kecleon you can find out straight away.
I thought Leafeon. But it seems I made an awful choice with it early in the game I am always dying at the Champion. Using, Empoleon, Garchomp, Houndoom (would have been Arcanine but no firered), Snorlax, Leafeon, and Luxray where am I going wrong?
Level up your Garchomp to a respectable level. (Try 60, although you can get away with 50) Speed boosting nature helps, or X-Speeds. You can set up a swords dance against every team in the elite four against their first poke and then either dragon claw or earthquake the rest of the team. X speed helps if you're worried about being outsped and KOed.
OK, just consider: a new name (poke) will not be my choice as I am an old school gamer. But let me see here who I was using in my Silver version... AHA! got several here from my party... Slowking, Hypno, Weezing, Muk, Primeape, and Kingler. Don't know if it was against rules to say like 6 pokemon, lol, but that is my party in Silver version :)
Weezing is fine, although it serves a very similar role to gliscor with slightly better special attack and worse speed. Slowking is a good choice and would give the team a special attacker as well as a special wall. Primeape is also a good choice simply for the fact it is a fighting pokemon with a wide movepool that is fast. Muk, Hypno and Kingler are all on the NU side of things. (although Muk is barely UU) So if you have a choice between Slowking/Weezing/Primeape pick one.
I like you vids. So, I subbed. Well, I suggest for your new team an Altaria. It has an annoyer technique that could help if you get lucky.(Sing) Plus the Dragon type only leaves it open to Ice types and dragon types.
Beedrill is a cool poke, but its in the deep side of NU (Never Used) tier. It's also abit on the weak side compared to the other members of the party so I'm afraid it would probably not get much exposure if I did decide to add it which would defeat the purpose of showcasing your choice. Even something like venomoth which has better stats, ability and the same typing would be borderline. If you have another poke you want to suggest I'm happy to hear it. Sorry!
I think Aaron and Flint are the easiest E4 members in Pokemon Platinum.

Is there a better movest for gengar?
Right now it knows t blt, shadow ball, hypnosis, dream eater and its holding wide lenses to increase its accruacy (hypnosis).
