@yoiko888 If the db killers have never been removed then there is still a thin metal part half an inch wide that prevents the db killer to be removed. It has to be cut first. I used a dremel with a cutting disc. Then you can remove easily the snap ring with snap ring pliers and pull the db killer with flat pliers.
@thfrere The dbkillers can be placed and removed as often as you wish. They are kept in place by the snap ring. You just need snap rings pliers to remove the snap ring and flat plier to extract the dbkillers, but to put it back you just need to push them back in place by hand and put back the snap ring with the snap ring pliers.
@Timpala, the more time goes the lower the sound is, I tested a bonneville last week and my friend has a thruxton, they sound like electrical engine compared to the street triple with arows.
I love everything about the Street Triple, but I just can't seem to get over the high pitched sewing machine sound of the engine. I just don't like it. Is it as loud in person as it is on video? I love Triumphs but prefer the sound of the Bonnevilles, Thruxtons & Scamblers more. I would love to buy a Street Triple but I just don't know if I would be satisfied with the sound. Help... give me an excuse to buy one!
Hey nice bike, have just purchased one too and just had the arrow slip on's put on. is it easy to remove the db killers and worth it?? the bike shop said to me the noise is a bit unbarrable to ride with them and mentioned the police would pull me straight away...
@emarky100 it's easy to remove the db killer, once you have removed the metal part that prevent to do it (using a dremmel drill is the easiest), then you will need an internal circlips plier to remove it. As for the noise, for me it is unbarrable and illegal here anyway, but some like it anyway.
@AlexTripleR Judging by your license plate, you're from Belgium just like me... :) It's possible it's illegal here (just like many other things) but I haven't seen anyone pulled over yet for the noise produced by an open exhaust... On my previous bike I only put the DB-killers in when I went for a ride to Germany or on closed circuit. Currently I own a street triple as well and I am waiting for my Arrow's to arrive... I'm very curious if they're really as headache-inducing as you claim... :)
ohh! i got it.. i thought it was actually some kind of handler por the passenger..the original handle bar is just too big, thought these small side handlers would be more suitable/nice looking..
nice bike! (i have the same one ! lol - no arrows thou..yet!)

@AlexTripleR and once they've been removed they can't be placed again ? (without welding I mean)

Yes, there is a specific map for the slip on. You should visit your triumph store and ask them to install it for you

@Timpala44
go and check one out in person! The only way to see if you like something is to go for a test run!

where did you get those handlers?
nice sound!

Which handlers are you talking about ? What you see on the saddle ? These are not handlers, they are zippers to fix the Triumph saddle bag.
