In the original crusader; when you turned the camera, the buildings turn with it, I thought that could easily be fixed 7 years later; then the game would have worth it. Still a good game but only because the original was great, extreme adds little, except for an incredibly frustrating new difficulty.

im a bit dissapointed with extreme its almsost completely the same as crusader, one is made in 2001 and the other 2008 is it>?

nearly so the same and only that you can have 10k troops over the first version about 1k. Anyway i completed extreme and i almost never needed to get more than 1k troops to win. And those special powers you have on right top side its so lame just sad. Original Stronghold Crusader is so better.

I agree 100%, I think StrongHold is the most charming game I played.

The Music is great and economic system is not too hard :)

The only downside with this game after playing it for 6 years is : You cant change the Lord/Soldiers colors :(

but that's my own opinion.. i think there are people who prefere this kind of gameplay...

well ,I downloaded the game... , the max troop limit is about 5000, there are 8 new noob bots, local maps are Awful, extra troops u get from outposts: Bots get like dozen times more and better troops than u, but incoming troops wont last forever, no new thingsT.T, But...

...its still better than 1st version, its better than 3d version and if u could make a new stronghold c Extreme with good maps and 15k troops limit , that game would get Huge comeback (Y) :)

go into your my computer then click disk G: (it might be in another one but which ever has teh logo on it of the game) then click that and it should start and if it doesent you go into it and click which ever says .exe at teh end! thats it

I want to see more from Stronghold Legends, my favourite of the Stronghold series, with a new engine, and loads of new stuff but keeping the Legends 'theme' and at least eight player mode again and even bigger maps, something like Stronghold Legends 2 would be a defininite buy for me. All these extra thousands of soldiers seem pretty chaotic to control... What made me really annoyed in the original Stronghold was the fact that theoreticaly an unlimited number of soldiers could actually stand in the very same place. So if there was an army marching throught a narrow passage or something like that, they all just squeezed into one looong queue an then just sort of poped out of thin air again... LOL

The bar on the side isn't the only difference there is also when you make custom games that you have spawn points where there is spawning men for your own use its nice i had 300 spear men 100 archers and 20 catapults because of spawn points.

the only thing i dont like about the crusader is that we have those military units that you can just make by clicking on them, i like the original stronghold more because you have to build the sword and armor so you can have a soldier, that was more fun .
