i think that -

River is Amy's daughter, the daughter of the tardis. she was raised by the silence to kill the doctor, but i think that the doctor and her are deffonately going to get together! or be as romanticly linked as the tenth doctor and rose were, lets put it that way.

and she kills the doctor somehow, but he gets brought back to life as a diff doctor or something. she's brainwashed to kill the doctor, so thats what her goal is, but she falls in love with him at the same time.

So when the Doctor says "there's only one way you could know that," the one way isn't that they're married, it's that she's a Time Lord... and the Doctor knows that she isn't. But yes, I like her reading his name on the cot. Oh, and when he says, "how do I look", and she says "amazing", he's off to meet/rescue her as a little girl.

Great vid! I dont think River killed the Doctor though...that'd be a little too obvious, or IF she did, the future Doctor knew and condoned it for some reason yet to be revealed. After all, in the Impossible Astronaut, the future Doctor invites those he trusts to his death...even numbering the envelopes with himself trusted #1, RIVER #2, Rory and Amy #3, and Canton #4. In the death scene, if you watch the Doctor, he puts his head down as if waiting for it. Who knows though, right? :)

well obviously river and the doctor are a married couple in the future. she is absolutely not his mom or his daughter because they kissed.....on the mouth!! AND when david tennant was the doctor, she knew his first name. everytime they meet, he knows her less and less. and i believe that she was the astronaunt that killed him because shes in prison for, "killing the greatest man ive ever known" and she was an astronaunt. this has to b right!

It's looking like River probably is the Doctor's wife. Not sure how I feel about that, since the writers have kind of been spoon-feeding us that idea since she first appeared. :\ I would imagine if you have a character as mysterious as River is supposed to be, you would drop a couple of red herrings here and there to confuse the audience... but nope, from the first episode she was in, we've had characters blatantly saying they're like a married couple. Oh well. Still loving this season! :D

@luxy2772 But in The Library, River said to the Doctor "You wouldn't have a chance and neither do I" (of surviving it). So if she knew the Doctor couldn't regenerate, she wouldn't have been able to either...

@luxy2772 heyy well as we all now know River is Amy & Rory's daughter, but part timelord. The reason River wouldnt of regenerated in the Library is because it would have killed her anyway because it would have stopped both her hearts and she wouldnt be able to regenerate, thats why she couldnt let the doctor do it because he would have died and they would never have met. Moffat is very clever with putting thoughts into your mind. When we first met her, she said that he was much older, (her Doctor) that is Matt Smith. The Good man she kills is the Doctor. That was her in The Impossible Astronaut ;-)

@Eriadnu What I mean is , in "The Eleventh Hour" when the Doctor is mentally visually hopping around the people looking for Prisoner Zero - he scans Rorys face and his nurse badge - which strangely shows a completely different time in which he was hired in the hospital , which was before Amy was even born!

Matt Smith isnt leaving as the doctor , meaning he is the obvious counted out victim of River , Amy is not leaving either according to Matt Smith - no one has mentioned Arthur Darvill's deal?
