  • Sorry it's not that easy :( Mabie for now you can take lessons at a ranch like where i live and we can teach you lessons on how to ride we have 84 horses and counting

  • so what would u recommend as a godo time to let a horse settle inot a new paddock im getting my first horse tomorrow after noon hes coming from quite a long way over 4 hours away and i think 3 days is the minimume time u should let them settle in and a week if possible is the longest.

  • @shego4893 i would go with a week to two weeks so they can get use to another horses and get settled in and used to you before trying to ride

  • 39supers39 gosh why are you being so mean!! do you know how much she free time she spent on making this video!! i mean seriously!! and i suppose you know EVERYTHING about horses??

  • hell no not a single person out their knows everything or will know everything because horses are that complex but we can know at least how to communicate with them

  • dang, u gotta lotta horses girl! i only have 1

  • something tells me you don't know jack shit about horses

  • @39supers39 How would you like it if someone said that about you? That was really mean and I'm sure it hurt her feelings. Gosh learn some respect.

  • I don't care about feelings I care about horses

  • @39supers39 Why do you feel the need to be SO freaking mean? Are you that evil? I doubt you give a shit about horses. I looked on your channel and all you do is be mean! I couldn't fine ONE nice comment. Get a life....NOW.

  • I don't like being mean but there's just ignorant people out their that I have to be strait up with and the reason their was one nice comment was because they left one nice comment look at all the negatives I get from other people including you and I do care about horses I see other people that don't know how to handle horses but I'm not going to tell them how to do it because it ends with all of these negative comments as you can see

  • @39supers39 If you don't like being mean then don't watch the video. This video actually helped me.

  • you're right just that this video shows bits and I don't like bits on horses although most people use them they're unnecessary because even if you have the softest snaffle bit you must pull with not even a pound of pressure to get a horse to move without hurting their mouths

  • @39supers39 Oh my gosh so you hate on someone's video because they included pictures of bits?!?! REALLY?!?! Get used to it! Everyone uses them

  • exactly my point I see people using them as they ride in front of my house but I'm not going to say don't use it because they'll tell me how it's none of my business and it's their horse so I just watch them pull the reins and fighting with the horse

  • @39supers39 Not everyone who uses them uses it in a bad way. I use it and I don't fight with my horses. In showjumping they HAVE to because they need to slow down their horses and collect them to approach the jump in a nice calm manner. So seriously don't watch these videos and hate on them. Instead why don't you go and watch some brideless stuff or whatever

  • you don't but you don't need to pull the reins so hard to slow them down if you have practiced pressure and release well enough

  • @39supers39 OH MY GOSH....Seriously?!?! Some horses are CRAZY and need it

  • every single horse is good it's the person handling them that doesn't know what they're doing that's why a horse is a reflection of its handler

  • @39supers39 Not EVERY horse is good trust me

  • no I don't because not a single horse doesn't know about pressure and release

  • @39supers39 You're just making a fool out of yourself so I'm ending it here... BYE

  • wow the level of ignorance I receive from these people

  • @39supers39 HAHAA At least I know things about horses unlike you do -_-

  • yet you still say what you say

  • @39supers39 Please atleast I'm not making a fool out of myself by coming and hating on someone's lovely video and then having no backup to your theory what so ever

  • like I've told so many people, go search it up before you post these comments because I've spent some time researching and trying to get this information out there and I get this thanks for doing your research again

  • @39supers39 I never told you to go research anything. But why go hate on someone's video? like REALLY?!?! If you don't like it you always know that there is that red x in the top left hand corner of your screen that you can press anytime.

  • I don't need you to tell me I try to find the best care for my horses and spread that to anyone I can and I recommend the website thinklikeahorse then .org to as many people as possible because this guy knows what he's talking about and I get tired of people that don't do research on at least horse care

  • @39supers39 I know A TON about horse care, horse everything. Okay? But still why do you feel the need to come onto a lovely video and hate on it? DON'T WATCH IT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT SIMPLE AS THAT. How mean are you to do that???

  • because I don't think it's a lovely video because it promotes two things that may be bad for horses like bits and jumping and if you think horseshoes are good they're only good in rare occasions when the hoof is uneven and I appreciate you're not a hypocrite like the rest including me that just cuss each other out

  • @39supers39 Bits are used everyday and western is not in the olypmics JUMPING is. So jumping isn't bad nor are bits. And I will never curse anyone out on here.

  • Just correcting myself I said maybe because some horses really do love to jump and some people like you I'm guessing don't pull every two seconds on the reins when you're on your horse and thanks again for never cursing on here

  • @39supers39 Any horse that I have ever ridden LOVES to jump. I think all horses do except very few don't. I hate it when people pull but for example there is this pony at one of my barns that she is TOO fast so you have to keep a tight rein or else she will gallop off with you and I don't want that. No problem I don't get it why people do!

  • people don't trust their horses and I'm guessing your pony is a young one because of it's energy

  • @39supers39 Nope she's around 10-12. She's just fast..I'm pm'ing you about something now

  • @39supers39 and you do bitch?

  • @jmaritz328 poor bastard

  • @39supers39 so if she doesn't know why don't you upload your own video about horses...? In this instant you don't know shit from shinola when it comes to giving your opinion... Make sure your perfect before you Mf on someone else's video... K bye sweety :*

  • Beautiful horses/ponies and nice video!

  • you have gorgeous horses! and thanks for the info :)

  • that is so cool ty for all the info you are the best

  • You also should bring a professional at your facilities to help you. Also make sure if you plan to have this horse long to make sure you can grow into it and still ride.

  • ok , what about foals or young horses?? how i can buy them?

  • @TheCOOLRIDERS if you have to ask that you probably shouldnt buy an untrained horse.but make sure they has a kind eye. What is the dams personality?can you get near the foal if its an untouched foal does it seem curious or just want to run away?I bought mine as an 8 month old unhandled colt.he had a kind eye and was very curious not scared.the Mare was easy to handle and very gentle.Make sure they have the build you want and etc. &no I am not the maker of this video just to clear up confusion

  • @RideLifeAway thx alott for y interesting

  • oh dear, not to brag or anything but ive been aroun horses since i was 3, and if i have learned correctly, there is ALOT more to purchasing a horse than these 4 steps, but good info. :D

  • @Wolferific I clicked this video out of curiosity and saw it was only a few minutes long lol. and then to find out half of it is just photos...

  • That is how it works to buy a horse to a certain degree, but there is way more perplexities then your simple 4 steps. Maybe things would work like that if we lived in a perfect world. You got adorable horses though :)

  • this was horrible. this is not how it works

  • i think im in love!! i love boots my dream horse as a matter a fact!

  • Is Dynamite a welsh pony?

  • Dynamite is soooooooo cute!!!!! hahaha subbed! sub back?(:

  • on step three i would also put to make sure it is not drugged mean people... drugging horses... grrrr

  • What if you're buying a Colt? :P

  • you have beautiful horses =3 you are so very lucky (:

  • Yeah plus just cause it's a dapple or bay or paint or any, still i would recommend a nice calm horse it would be best if your first horse was a. Gelding or mare not a stallion

  • I have a few things to add. First, before you go to visit it email or call the owner and make sure they are still available. Also sometimes you might buy a horse thats not broken yet. Well, make sure when you visit it you question the owner about its life. And last, make sure you have a place to transport it too and have a way to transport it. Please, I'm not trying to be a smart alec, just adding a few things. I've noticed a lot of these promblems as for I've been looking to buy a horse lately.

  • cute horses :3

  • great i am getting one soon thanks

  • i have something to add =]

make sure the horse/ponys current owner rides before you do and watch to see how they handle the horse/pony and if they have any difficulty controlling them and maybe get your instructor/trainer to go alone with you to see what they think

  • aw, all three of oyur horses are absolute beauts :) this helped me a lot since I'm tyhinking of bying my first horse, thanks :)

  • wow you have very good looking horses! good video!! :D
