I don't sweat this play at all. To this day I say the same thing I've always said about this blunder. Romo has one guy to beat to make it into the endzone even after screwing up the snap. If Romo doesn't get caught from behind ,he has the opportunity to dive forward to make the TD, and the Cowboys go on to win this game this play is shown over and over on ESPN Classic years from now as one of those classic game-changing/ game winning plays. It just so happens that things didn't happen that way.

The thing everybody forgets is there was still time for the Seahawks to answer any FG that may have been scored here. In fact, Dallas had another chance, throwing a hail mary that was intercepted on final play of game.

@joeisthegame I was sitting right at the goal line in question, 2nd row of the upper deck, with Romo running towards me. When he was tackled, everyone else was going apeshit, but I was concerned about him picking up the first down! He makes the first down, the Cowboys win that game.

The same could be said for the play before where Witten was stopped inches short of the first down. If he made that 1st, Cowboys can run 3 plays and kill the clock before attempting FG.

@guysdave1 Are you kidding me? I HATE the Packers with a passion, and I'm still gonna say Rodgers is way better than Romo. Don't get me wrong, Romo is pretty good. Hell, I'd take him over my QBs any day (I'm a niners fan), but saying he's one of the best in the league is rather atrocious. There are many that come to mind before him, i.e. Both Mannings, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Michael Vick, Phillip Rivers, etc.

Bad management.  Bad coaching is if they would have run a trick FG at this juncture in the game. Bad management = not having a backup holder to take his place when he took over starting duties. Laugh if you wish, but the Seahawks trotted out 180 lb Kelly Jennings last year to be the long snapper after the regular long snapper got hurt in the same game.

The Cowboys (in white) where about to kick a game winning field goal. But, the person who was to hold the ball for the kicker (Tony Romo) screwed up and mishandled the ball.

@neonMcC1oud Tony Romo #9 was supposed to catch & hold the ball in place so that his kicker could kick a field goal to take the lead. Normally this would be an easy field goal to make since they were so close to the endzone. Instead, Tony didn't hold it properly for the kicker, and the play was ruined, taking away a chance for the Cowboys to score & take the lead. The Seahawks quickly chased him down and since Tony isn't very fast, they tackled him short of the endzone. Epic fail!
