  • I'm from the south and I've got to say, you nailed it ma'am. LOL. You had me laughing so hard I almost peed my computer chair! The chicken looks yummy too!

  • WE TEXANS DONT TALK LIKE THAT

  • @Tylercotten1 I know. I listened long and hard to some folks from Georgia for this video :-)

  • I love this Its funny yet educational! I know how to make fried chicken now!

  • This is so funny, I like how southerners are getting annoyed ;D and 2:40 when she said 'Degrees' made me laugh throughout the rest of the video! Gotta love Titli ;)

  • hahahaha you made my day <3

  • I know you don't live in the south because NO woman from the south would be caught dead in a pair of overalls. It makes their backside look too big. In all my 54 years I HAVE NEVER walked into a lady's kitchen and found her with a wire whisk in her pocket. SO IN THE FUTURE LEAVE THE FRIED CHICKEN TO THE GRITS !!

For you you northerners thats Girls Raised In The South!!

  • @66644216 LOL!

  • @66644216 you dont own fried chicken

  • i'm from texas and i thought this was hilarious XDD

  • I've always wondered what a british person would sound like when impersonating a southerner lol

  • @Vampirepigslayrr Now you know! :-)

  • LOL! You sound JUST like my Aunt Annie!

  • hahahaha love ur accent

  • Lmao

  • "If you got the thyme, I got the time!"

  • Hilarious haha I like it

  • My husband HAS a Southern accent and we watched this together and now he's using YOUR Southern Accent...oh wait I am too! Will definitely try your chicken. Thank you for posting!

  • Madam, I cannot be drinking coffee and watching your videos at the same time for my keyboard's sake :o)))

Thank you so much for your recipes and your humour, hahaha

  • the fried chicken looks good, but this video made me Lol'd. lol.

  • I love you Titli!

  • you are really amazing ..............i like you

  • Horrible southern accent, delicious looking chicken

  • Love your videos! I know that's right! don't give a dam!

  • Are you living in the US now, what's with the half cup of milk ? What is that in fluid oz ?

  • @Vana1970 So many questions! 9 fl oz.

  • @TitliNihaan Thank you

  • I can only wish I could be still as fierce as you when I'm 40-ish.

  • daaang you crack eggs well. everytime i crack an egg, theres always at least one piece of shell that gets in the food. any remedies?

  • Way-yull...ain't you just sweeter'n bubblegum? Ah shore do love me some fra'd chicken, yessuh. And your li'l ol' outfit was just cuter'n a speckled pup in a red wagon.

  • could also try the phrase "happier'n a pig in shit"

that one gets used a lot around here too haha

  • to nail the southern thing you gotta pronounce "thyme" with a soft TH :P

  • The best ever chicken I had!!! I use this recipe for chicken strips... very very very yummy :P

  • I would recommend to soak the chicken in buttermilk overnight!

    meat becomes much more tender!

but great video, and i am a big fan!

  • This is so deliciously racist!

  • @NoeLPZC Not racist at all. Just a horrible stereotype. I've always found Southern Folk to be very warm and hospitable :-)

  • @TitliNihaan Racial (or regional in this case) stereotypes are inherently racist... or regionist. :P Not condemning you or anything, and I think anyone that's offended should stop bitching grow a sense of humour, but it is what it is.

  • @NoeLPZC

You do realize that southern is location, not nationality, right? I'm from Louisiana and I thought the video was very funny. Plus, Titli is a very good cook. Now if you'll excuse me, my sister and I are going to go make love. Chicken always gets her hot and bothered. : D

  • Honestly! Titli is just so funny! XD

  • Southerners using metric?

  • @TaTiska I'll have to correct that when I remake this in HD. Presumably Southerners would measure things in hogsheads?

  • Awesome! I can finally understand what the heck you are saying!

  • Where did you learn American English like that? Pretty convincing...

  • @Mattlantic15 I watched too much Dukes of Hazzard as a child I guess... :-)

  • @TitliNihaan Toi aussi t'as regardé CA?

  • @TitliNihaan u and me both as far as watching the OLD school Dukes of hazzard lol

  • Great Recipes n whata an accent..lol

  • The dead giveaway for being a Brit of course is that 185 degrees is celsius and not fahrenheit. :)

Looks great though. Might be even as good as my mom's chicken in good ole Drakes fry mix.. Real hillbilly food. Now if you excuse me I have to get back in bed with ma sister.....

  • As a Southern girl from South Carolina, I have to commend you on your accent. I have relatives who speak almost identical to that...

  • OMG I dn't care about the receipes, I just watch you Titli for pure entertainment lol ... you are a legend. Keep up the great vids Titties ...

  • Can you make a video about how to make sugar cookies(without chocolate chips or nuts, or raisins)?

  • I'm almost offended but I couldn't stop laughing. Lol!

  • I'd suggest giving the chicken a 24 hour marinade in buttermilk. I know, but it's worth it. Also, I wouldn't put the seasonings in the flour, because most seasoning burn at low temperature. Rub the seasoning on the chicken, then dredge them, that way, they stay safe under the crispy skin. Also, try pan frying them. Deep frying them smothers the chicken and makes it really greasy. And try frying it in shortening.

  • @PassionPulp So basically, use chicken, but do everything else differently? :)

  • I know you're Muslim, but you have me convinced you that you were drunk during this video! You couldn't have assumed the role of an American southerner that convincingly otherwise! Especially the pronunciation of "Khuuuuuuuda Hafiz." hahaha

  • @EnochBowelMovement I love your username. Most people won't know who EP was :-)

  • @TitliNihaan Course we do!

His Cooking show was legendary! ;)

  • @EnochBowelMovement loool the accent was pretty funny but not at all authentic. Still I love Titli's sense of humor, and as a Southerner I think she did us proud with the chicken!

  • Hey Titli.... wouldn't you want to marinate the chicken overnight in... something, so the meat would also be flavorful? Well say that you would, what would you recommend I marinate the chicken in?

  • @KnightMD Yoghurt is a really good marinade for chicken, but don't eat the yoghurt afterwards!

  • @KnightMD We usually use buttermilk to marinate our chicken, but yogurt is a good substitute.

  • LOL shukria for your incredible recipies, and your sense of humor even more. Your southern accent sounds like mr. hanky the christmas poo from south park. listen to him! you sound exactly like him, and your voice trails off at the end of your sentences just like his. also you could have shared your fried chicken with mr. b! i loved his cameo in the beef struganoff (sp?) episode.

    ramzan and eid mubarak!

    allah hafiz.

  • @KUSTOM10W I know Mr Hanky... :-) I think we learned something here today.

  • I dint got no chickin so I dun gone used a squirrel what a did finda roamin the yard.

  • @baldeegle I dun think ya means a skwrrrlll...

  • i wish the south was really like this... then againn, ive never lived more south than virginia x3 nice job! cant wait to try it

  • very nice recipe, hope to try it soon!

...as for the accent... well, you have such a good accent when speaking English...

  • Titli,ta cousine des States,c'est vraiment pas un cadeau.mais je pense que toyt le monde en as une du même genre dans sa famille......

  • you are FANTASTIC!!!!!

  • I live in France, and have never been able to find a butcher who knows how to cut up a chicken correctly... it's mostly all bones..... love this channel !

  • @anisete46 You should try the Pakistani version of jointing a chicken. Take 1 chicken and 1 meat cleaver. Bring cleaver down onto chicken 100 times in a mad frenzy. Collect the bits and cook them...

  • @TitliNihaan ^LOL Guess I 'll go buy myself a meat cleaver...

  • My kids call KFC the Kaka Food Company....

  • Speaking of corn flakes, I have a recipe for fried chicken using the latter.. have never tried it, because it sounds dire....

  • @anisete46 When I was a young thing, the mum of a friend of mine at school had a recipe for 'Chicken Maryland' that used either cornflakes or crisps/chips. It was very nommy, and the coating was (obviously) *super* crunchy.

  • Mc Donald's must 've seen your video for the inspiration behind the "chicken shake" :P Nice !!! Thanks for the video!

  • Really? LOL. It's not like I tell you how to make fish and chips.

  • @gneerowblack Nobody makes chips, sorry French Fries, sorry Freedom Fries anymore...

  • Should we be using buttermilk or regular milk? Do you know what is the difference in term of taste? Thanks

  • @lauls85 I can't get buttermilk in France, so I've never tried this recipe using it. From what I remember of buttermilk I suspect 9 out of 10 people wouldn't notice the difference if you used full-fat milk, skimmed milk, buttermilk or sheep's milk!

  • @TitliNihaan Oh thank you so much. Buttermilk is quite expensive and use only in cooking. If we can do this recipe with regular milk, it would be much better. Thanks

  • @TitliNihaan If you wish to get buttermilk, add 1 Tsp of lemon juice or White Vinegar per Cup of milk. Then let it sit for 5 minutes.

  • @Escapist3434 Whoops, I meant Tbsp

  • @Escapist3434 What happens after 5 minutes? Does it go "mooooo"?

  • @TitliNihaan One could guess :P

  • @TitliNihaan In France, one can try "lait ribot" in place of buttermilk...available in Britanny.... BTW, Southern accent ? euh,, sorry, that ain't it girl...

  • @anisete46 Then I was wrong when I said that it was "probably" the worst imitation of a Southern Accent on record :-)

  • @TitliNihaan LOL I'm sure there are a lot worse... just off the hat, Vivien Leigh in Gone With the Wind ? Really bad Cockney accent ? Audrey Hepburn in "My Fair Lady" ? Seriously, love your channel, enjoying all your recipes........

  • Are you sure just regular milk would be okay and no buttermilk instead? I have seen many people make Southern Fried Chicken with buttermilk. Have you tried both? If yes, any differences? Thanks

  • I lived in Oklahoma for 10 years. :D

  • Where is the salt?...no salt mentioned in recipe

  • I don't tend to use salt unless I think it's really necessary. If you want to add salt, by all means add some!

  • Nice accent :P

  • u r soo much fun...

  • Ha Ha Ha.... This video was cute! I'm from East Tennessee and you "wuz purty durn close" to the accent....LOL. I would just suggest you use my line next time.... "Immaz cuntry az cornbread" I'm not sure if cornflakes are totally southern. :) BTW, I'm enjoying your vids.
