It's beautiful that the acoustic and the album version are such parallel opposites. The original was so spine-chilling and otherworldly, almost heavenly. This one has the perfect tone of raw emotion and down-to-earth acoustics. Quite literally two sides of the same song. Why can't they release this on iTunes?

this song is about an ex girlfriend who either commited suicide or died from an illness...

personally, I think it's illness. because if it really was suicidal then when he brings in all the religious stuff suggesting about seeing her again in the after life....

because that's a religious belief and if you commit suicide you don't go to heaven. so it doesn't fit.

it sounds to me like she was just terminally ill and she never told him and now he's in pain and denial missing her.

@Aro2220 I'm thinking more like a childhood friend, perhaps, because Kele has all but explicitly come out as gay, so I'm thinking it was written about a really close friend of his who died, kind of like Biko was, though that could have been a lover as well. Either way, it's an incredible song, and the acoustic version is so intimate... You can really hear the vulnerability in Kele's voice.
