  • Two musical icons. Thank you so much for posting this video -- what a treat!

  • if this guy had an ego hed be selling out the baseball/football stadiums of the world with Page/Jonesy and Bonham Jnr in tow....but he aint is he. hes too busy makin wonderful music with an array of incredible musicians instead of using his past as a crutch. go Planty!

  • @kiwizeppelin I agree, I just saw him Friday night in Clearwater Fla. He's gone even more towards American roots music that's always been dear to him wth his new Band of Joy. His voice has changed over the years and he's flowed with it.

  • @kiwizeppelin Except that Jonsey made it clear that he did not want to tour at all anymore soon after Bonham's death. He's done a great deal of studio work/producing.

  • God, I hope Plant & Krauss release a live CD/DVD of some the AWESOME stuff they have done! Sucks that he doesn't feel like he can do Zeppelin any more, but I'll GLADLY accept this instead!

  • If u know Robert he has to breathe music like u breathe air and he is truely breathing right here...I saw three shows and was amazed at the atmosphere...Just like a new relationship gives u chills so does the coming together of Robert Plant and Allison Krauss...It's what gets him IN THE MOOD!

  • All you have to do is see how much and how many people responded to the one show Zep did a couple years ago. One man paid 186,000 dollars for a pair of tickets. Doesnt sound washed up to me. I will agree with him doing most interviews but isnt that because of Alisons personality? And as far as ego all he would have to do is say no (and he has many times) to a reunion of Zeppelin. That reunion tour would fuel his ego.

  • If you had seen any of her interviews she was scarred shitless to appear on the stage with this rock legend. Granted she has won grammies in bluegrass/Country if you wanna call that music. And if Roberts career is over you are sadly mistaken. I'll bet the world that if Led Zeppelin decided to do a tour it would be the biggest by far in numbers and revenue in the history of ALL music. Without a doubt tickets would be going in the thousands.

  • @LesSmith45 I've watched interviews of him saying her voice is so good it intimidates him. They are both world class in their fields. I'm as big of a Zep fan as they come and I've read interviews with Page that said a "real" banjo and mandolin player would laugh at my playing. World class Bluegrass pickers are the players he speaks of. Some people just can't let go of the past; Plant isn't one of them. It was very evident in the show I just saw in Clearwater, Florida; he's not looking back.

  • iam6913 i cannot agree with your comment it is so far from the truth it is unbelievable. If you listen to any of the songs they sing together you can hardly hear her voice. Especially in the GRAMMY WINNING Please Read the Letter. How is she carrying him? I do agree it was a stroke of genius to pair these two. But that credit goes to T-Bone Burnett. Not Allison,

  • @LesSmith45 You're right. T-Bone Burnett's production work is the thing the made the cd so amazing. He is a genius, and one of my favs. Don't anyone miss his early stuff like "Proof Through the Night" and "Trap Door" ablums.

  • i think the pairing is great, the album is great, but lets face it: Allison is carrying him. His career was over and hers is over 25 grammys worth. and yet she still lets the old man do his songs. and dominate all interviews. I like plant, but c'mon. drop the ego a LITTLE.

  • @iam6913 I don't agree with you either. Plant's career is far from over. I know his voice very well and have listened very closely to the mix on Raising Sand. He is actually more melodic and she is, and again, it was T-Bone Burnett that made her come across stronger on the cd. She has a pretty voice, but she mostly whisper/sings. Plant has much more natural projection, so did Sandy Denny who also had an angel voice, much beloved.

  • Sorry. I'm focusing on Krauss.

  • was I the only one hot for it at 547 when he just goes up to the mic and says 'I'm in the Mood'. Sex on legs at 60
