  • bunch of whotes trying to dance like a latin ..come on ppl

  • salon dancing.. how can it be presented like samba.. needs movement...pls...

  • it's a latin ballroom samba, and not a bad one in my eyes

  • the title is: give my life at least i think it is..

  • I hate this SAMBA!!! JESUS!!! How could they give that shit in IDSF Open Salou

  • They've played much much worse songs there to be honest.

  • the name of this samba?

  • What's the tittle of this song?? Please!!!:)

  • oh ~

my dear sharp3000, I really dont mean offense.

  • Yeah, I suggest ignoring him. He's in a mindset that ballroom samba has to be danced the same way traditional samba is danced. *facepalm*

  • The point of saying that it is not on beat, in the first place fail to explain why most of the audience like this type of dance, or you want to claim that you are all more expertise, compared to millions of dancers around the world?

This is now even the event of Asian Game, and porpobably added into the Olympics in 2012 London, so you really think that the Olympics Committee will let a off beat dance being added into its worldwide athletic events?

  • It sounds really odd to say that we create this stuff ~ Ballroom dance has been created years and years ago, all over the world there are uncountable people learning, but in contrast, the carnival samba is of much less popularity. I really mean no offense my friend, but the point is that now you are keep saying this is not on the beat, however, do you know many many ballroom dancers are from other dancing category? they all learn good music, or ballet, or jazz or others.

  • Sorry my friend, I cant see your point, you mention that they are off beat at oo:42, but cant you realized that exactly at this time the lady's head drop suddenly and hit the beat precisely?

sorry my friend, they are not off beat, surely they are not mechanical, when with different music, the ballroom dancers must adapt themselves to the beat, and also the different moods of music, e.g. if it is a slower motion, they have to present it with more "hold"

  • Exactly. I lol'd at the comment that this couple is off beat. I've rarely seen couples this precise with the rhythm.

  • are you nuts??? I think you could do the better samba than this :) very nice!!!

  • I'm not nut. I'm Brazilian and I played in School of Samba in Brazil. See thousand of people dancing samba in Brazil and played with people that played samba for 50 years.

  • This is ballroom samba which is adapted for dance sport couples.

  • Does not change the fact that person dancing out bit.

Check at time 42 seconds and pay attention to the drum. The drum marks the bit and you should follow the bit with your rips. The people above are totally off bit. Sorry,no offense

  • Sorry but this not samba.

  • then what is this?

  • The way they dance is not samba. If you hear the beat of the drums you notice that they are off beat. With samba you dance must match the beat of the drums. I know that because Samba is from Brazil and I'm from Brazil. Plus the music is kind of too. They add some extra beat in the song that is not part of song. In Brazil we call play square samba. That is not good.

I'm sure is something but is not samba

  • i see your point, but carnival samba (original samba) is very different to competitive samba... i know this because i'm a ballroom dancer. this music is really horrible, but they did fine. it's not just about samba steps here, it's about overall performance and presentability.

  • sure, you are right. Not question this people know how to dance. I never said they are not good dancers.

The problem is that the first basic rule about dancing is to be able to follow the bit of the music. The way they dance is very mechanical. They just learn some move from different type of music and are just using as they go. That is not good my friend.

  • if you notice in the start you can hear the people saying "timbala"

That is from CUBA . Not from Brazil and NOT SAMBA(samba ins from Brazil not Cuba)

try search for " Angel el Pirata Timbala" you will see they sing in Spanish(Brazil speaks Portuguese)

You people are always off with the what kind of music you are dancing.

  • try going search here in youtube for " Angel el Pirata Timbala"

You notice that is not samba. Is some kid of song from Cuba. Samba is not from Cuba and that is not samba,.

  • Again, this is ballroom samba and is different from brazilian samba. Why can't you just get over it? ;_;

In ballroom samba, you match the dancing with the 1&2 or quick quick slow timings. In the former, the beat value is three quarters, quarter and one whole beat for the two. They follow the heavy bass going yam badam. For me, they are not off beat.

  • Dear the song is cuban. Has nothing to do with the so call Ballroom samba they you people just created in your minds. When you dance you supost to follow the music that is playing at time.

You just made a fruit salada of movement from other kinds of dancing and decide to call ballroom samba.

Please, the dancing is tottally of bit.

You supost to follow the drums my friend.

  • Oh, God. Why I do I bother. ;_;

Instead of constantly shooting myself to my leg, I'll try a different approach.

    They are not off beat.

    NANANANANANAN WHAT'S THAT I CAN'T HEAR YOU?

    *goes off*

No, for real. I think you can't get this because you've never ever had a single lesson of ballroom dancing and probably never will. Of course, it's difficult to understand something you have never studied.

  • is ja geil ich war auch da!!!

  • the name of this samba?

  • she looks perfect!

  • lady is extremely good....

  • give my live or give me live ;), i it is the first one...

  • hi guxto, do you know the title of the song? its very cool!!!
