I never owned a copy of Amazing Fantasy #15. Sorry that you let your coverless copy go back in the seventies, but I have let a few comics go and regretted it later.
Of course you are right about Kirby the King. One of my favorite Kirby covers is Fantastic Four #51 (This Man, This Monster).
@MusicFanMark I love that cover too, it was definitely one of Kirby's finest and most dramatic! Comics can still be great, but they were at the very best during the Silver Age. Thanks for stopping by, have a great week! :)
I usually write a comic script in two drafts: a hand written original that I can alter and put notes on, and then a final typed draft. It may take a day, it may take several days, y'know, just until I'm happy with the script. Thanks for asking :)
None that I want to see, but check out ebay and other websites, you're sure to find them there. Also, keep a look out for conventions in your area, they're great fun and you can find tons of silver age comics (see my MegaCon videos). Happy hunting!
thanks alot hey any way i see you are a writer, well im studying creative writing at college and
i have a lot of ideas for comics and superhero storys. could you mabey help me out like give me some fead back about my ideas and if i could submit some ideas to you for free that you called print
I enjoyed this vlog, Steve. To me, the '60s were the real Golden Age (we must be in the Copper or Tin Age now). But - good work is still being produced, if you know where to find it. "The spirit of comics remains strong and continues." I like that.
Thank you, there are still great comics, you're right. As you said, you just have to know where to find it. Most of the finest comics that I see these days is being produced in the comics small press, basically an "amateur" network, but these "amateurs" very often outshine the so-called pros.
Many thanks! I have a lot of Silver Age comics in my storage shed, but they're just sitting there for now. I didn't start collecting comics on my own until the early 1970s and have some really obscure stuff. I still have the first appearance of Wolverine, which I recall buying off the rack in Rexall's Drug Store ;-] My favorites were the horror and science fiction comics and the best creators (in my opinion) are Neal Adams and Alan Moore!
I had practicly every marvel put out from 1962 to 67,traded them all in for more comics.have kept pretty much every one picked up since march of 1968,gotten back all but 23 of the 62-63 era.Helped a lot being a shinders slave for a while.
I know how you feel. I had all the Marvel Silver Age books collecting from 1972 till about 1992 when I sold them. Then in 2003 I started getting them back from EBay. And now I have most of them back....can't beat the Silver Age! Thanks for another great vid!

After reading the comments above, I guess I am fortunate in that I kept my comic book collection from yesteryear.

You're one in a million, and one lucky comics reader. A huge congratulations.

I sold my comics collection too. It turns my stomach too. Oh, well. I've never been able to get them back. I enjoyed your tales of the Silver Age.
