Nice, I clean my glass about once a week, but I dump my water out once a day. Spray bottle won't work too well with a perc :D. Also down stems and percs with diffusers shouldn't really have salt shaken together cause it can chip the sides of the diffusers.
Awe dude damn it, I was cleaning my bong yesterday and I forgot I have epsom salt under the bathroom sink... I used the mortons table salt!LOL. Still works u just have to shake it longer
2 things you forgot- 1) a little lemon juice in with the alcohol helps prevent hard water stains which are inevitable when you rinse it with water to clean out any alch. 2) ALWAYS wash out with soap and warm water after rinsing with alch to MAKE SURE there are no residual fumes you may be breathing in. I didn't make it clear in the video make sure to really wash out all the alcohol. I personally prefer just water to wash out the alcohol as the soap will then still need to be rinsed clean before using and is usually harder to get out than the alcohol.
For the record... I only use salt when my bong is gunked up pretty good... When cleaned daily a few sprays of alcohol is all that's needed.

Normally, and I should have done this in the video, I dump out the dirty water fill with fresh then take a hit to warm everything up, which makes the downstem & bowl easier to clean.

@droopfrogg I just did the math it was only 12.5 gallons :P But I probably just used another 5 gallons to figure out how many gallons per minute that sink puts out.
Does the alcohol have any effects on glass? Last time i used rubbing alcohol and salt i dropped my bong from about a foot off the floor and it completely shattered. This was while it still had some alcohol and salt in it
@Kirbyluver2 It doesn't weaken it if that is what you are asking? It can make it slippery. Most bars serve alcohol in glasses and I don't see them shattering too often... The quality of your piece, what the floor was made out of, and the angle it hit the ground all factored into the survivability of your piece... RIP
@MrSynsational That too is another factor to consider.. That being said I did read that ROOR does NOT recommend using brushes or other abrasives (like salt) to clean their products. They recommend their cleaning product or alcohol. They state that brushes and abrasives DO scratch the glass and can weaken your piece.

@captainslink Haven't used it since high school, unless they've changed it, it doesn't work nearly as well as alcohol and salt. Yes they say it's reusable, but what are you left with after using it? Gross stinky liquid? Do you funnel it back into the bottle?

90+% iso. alcohol will clean the gunk out/off of any piece . you can use a tooth-brush to pull stubborn chunks off. some people dump rock salt in as an abrasive to pull extra gunk off .

It actually looked worse than it was, the faucet adds a lot of air into the water so it looks and feels like more water than is actually coming out.. but yeah you learn something everyday ;)

I have a question for a guru. We know some % of the medicinal cannabinoids in the resins get stuck to the inside of the glass.. But does having a clean bong cause more or less of it to stick and build up than an already dirty bong? Kind of an efficiency question because i try to get the most out of my weed, which means i want to get as much of it inside me as possible lol( i dont like vaping as much)
@CantWeedThis Wow that's a new one... This is just a guess, I must have missed school when they went over this... Almost all the cannabinoids are released within the first second of combustion so unless your bong is so dirty it's keeping the smoke from getting to your lungs it probably doesn't make much difference. I get a better hit from a clean pipe so I think from that perspective it's more efficient to keep it clean. A clean stem is more important than a clean tube
@TheBudGuru It does make sense that a layer of resin would attract more cannabinoids to stick to it (before the smoke is cleared) since it acts like glue. Like the way you make finger hash. Although a clean bong seems to get glazed pretty quick so that just made me think about it. This amount of analyzation is a little ridiculous though i know lol

UPDATE from ROOR: There is no substitute for an alcohol-based solution,
Cleaning should be done immediately after use of the ROOR water pipes for the best results. This is when it is quickest and easiest to do so.
Brushes should NOT be used to avoid possible weakening of the product.
The cleaning process is simple:
1) Empty dirty water out of pipe.
2) Pour boiling water into pipe and all parts and rinse.
3) Pour alcohol onto the joints of the pipe.
4) Rinse thoroughly with hot water.
