Indeed, Hausboot, fear is the thing! Balbastre had a foreboding of what was coming: the crumbling of the monarchy, and the Terror that ensued, with thousands, including the Queen, his harpsichord student, beheaded before an unruly mob. Balbastre wrote piano music to revolutionary doggerel to save his skin.
May I add some background to the name of this piece? Nicolas d'Héricourt was a French military writer, author of "Élémens de l'art militaire" (1756) and captain of the King's regiment. d'Héricour was apparently a great friend of the harpsichord, as Jacques Duphly wrote a piece for him too (2nd book, 1748) - by the way, a beautiful piece too: if I would dare, I would suggest you to record it as well on Youtube, as your harpsichord is excellent for it (and you too :).
Magnificent Performanc upon Harpsichord. Have you traveled to the great Museum outside Trondheim,Norway to see the beautiful instruments in the Museum? Beautiful!
Excellent interpretation. Thank you!

@ y el clavecin es frances tiene un sonido mas redondo .Francia siempre tuvo buenos musicos . algunos casi desconocidos como éste.
el clave italiano es mas agudo y el aleman mas grave y mas sonoro alcanza mas sonido.

Great, thanks! It is a nice harpsichord, although 1 manual, but when recording I can do a little registration, when necessary.
