  • Yes we can have Soju together haha~ :)

    Have a nice day~!

  • You are a very humble person. I wish more people were like you.

  • awesome!

  • Many countries use the term "Aircon" Aussies u that term too...what makes aircon souly Korean?

  • wow you just said 'aircon' you are koreanized alreay!!!! haha i m proud of you

  • cool !! i want study with you ! haha

  • CHARLES XAVIER lol

  • You look a little bit like Charlese Xavier from the X-men

  • I really like how you enjoy other cultures and try and be a part of it. everyone in my school look at everything in another culture in a bad perspective.

  • i wtched 1 of ur prev. vids and i ws prtty impressed by everything u observed--I'm Korean btw and i ws doin sum resrch for a school project and i found ur video on soju which I had to resrch as 1 of the traditional Korean drnks. I was blown away by everything u noticed like how thr r different forms of the language--formal and informal which I found is rlly difficult to explain to an American person. I think Korean ppl just find westrnrs interestin because they can speak english so well

  • I'm korean, but i'm stuck in belgium , i realy wanna go to Korea ! i love doing my taekwondo here , but i realy wanna try it in korea, and go back to my culture , great vid of urse :) thnx 4 sharing :)

the first country i wanna go to is korea! :D haha

  • oh! you are great guy~~

I'm being impressive about what you're interested in many things about Corea.

If you want to learn good martial art+corean culture, I might recommend you to take "택견", rather than TKD, don't get me wrong. it doesn't mean TKD worse.

anyway, thanks for the short film.

you made it very well ^.^

  • nice work with your video. i admire your passion to learn different culture. maybe you can see Korea in otherside of view, differ from Korean people. Nowdays we lost many good things around us which were used to be. i recommand you better learn about Korean history(not the stories on the textbook, which THEY call "history") then you can understand more of the essence. it is quite large picture when it was ancient time.

  • I'm glad you love Korea! =]

  • love your video! your so open minded

But can you please do a video about teaching in korea in a hagon? I am about to go over there to teach as well and would love your perspective sense your so open minded!

  • I did several on that topic already.

  • You have a great attitude as a visitor to a new culture. You'll be able to learn and enjoy things wherever you are, even if you're in the most backward or even a war-torn country.

  • Xentrad97,you're a total idiot....you better not travel with your brain.

  • I don't think my comment warrented this kind of comment. Did you even understand what I said?

  • Please accept my apology. I misunderstood you,I thought you meant Korean when you say "most backward or even war-torn country."

  • I have lived in Korea for over two years. Wartorn? No. Backwards? Definitely!

  • QI=DEMIGOD

  • nah

  • Check out Lafesta- my favorite place in Korea

  • Thanks for the tip.

  • i did have a great tuesday thankyou

    haha

its good that your enjoying yourself and enhanceing your knowlege of korean culture

  • hwaseung..? is that in suwon?

  • Yup.

  • Hi~ You made me get ID for YouTube.haha.

It's pleaseure to know you and your videos.

Hope you enjoy and have oppertunities more in Korea.

  • That I am. I'm really enjoying every aspect of life here.

  • Yeah, I think you are. Yes, actually I guess there are a lot of places to see and go here in Seoul, Korea. just a quick question : you teach in university, or Hak won (학원)?

before I finish it, I wish you good health and getting better soon ( I heard that you'd had a summer cold, that's awful, I know :) )

  • Thanks. I'm feeling much better these days. I teach at a hogwan.

  • Another great video :) I'd love to go to the meet up if you arrange something! Please count me in!

  • Looking forward to watching more videos of your adventures/experiences there! <3

  • I always enjoy hearing about other cultures from the perspective of someone who's not from that country. Would love to come to the meet & greet, drinks are on me if you buy the plane ticket :P

  • :-)

  • Long videos are usu. boring, but yours are never boring. Keeps me watching till the end. Great videos as usual qiranger!

  • Thanks!

  • sorry, I'm writing a lot. I noticed you pronounced Hwaseong Fortress "Howsung" or "Howasung" and you nailed the "sung" part, but the Hwa should get better if you practice saying "hoo-ah" really fast until you get "hwa" and get it sounding natural :) great work with 한글 so far! :D

  • oh, and if you get a chance, you can venture out to 울릉도 (Ulleung Island). 3 hour boat ride, and you can visit around the island. I went there this summer, and it was such a beautiful place! incredibly clear water, great air, fantastic view, and the 3km hike (I think it was 3km) I went on around the mountain and the seacoast was nothing short of incredible and refreshing. People are super nice too

  • great vid! one tip on pronouncing Korean is that you should make the vowels more square. i.e. whereas in English "o" is pronounced "oh-oo" in Korean it's a very square "oh"

  • Thanks.

  • I have a cold too, boo!! Yes, lets meet...I'll just swing by Korea haha. That would be so awesome! BUT since that is not realistic, how about you fed-ex me some of this soju you speak of ;-).

Oooh that palace sounds amazing!! Have fun and take lots of video in Korea so I can continue to live vicariously through you!! :-)

  • ;-)

  • when ever you get back to the USA id like to meet you, if you can stop by in VA, I live Near D.C

  • My brother and a few friends are in the area... I'm sure I'll swing by there before too long.

  • Welcom to Korea and hope you feel better by now.

    Enjoy!

  • Thanks!

  • You're very lucky to have a chance to see the world firsthand. Thanks for sharing your experiences with the rest of us.

  • It's been a blast thus far!

  • Thanks for sharing. :)

  • Werd up.

  • I'm actually almost over it. It's just my voice... from talking all day in speaking classes.

As for Chusak, that might be a possibility, but I may be going to China for the weekend.

  • Sounds like a facinating place to be. Sexy "summer cold" voice:-) Get well!

  • LOL

  • All right! It is so fun to see you having such a great time and sharing what you learn with us. Whoohooo!

  • Thanks!

  • Sounds like a real adventure, what a special gift to have the opportunity to meet, live and experience another culture.

  • Yes it is!

  • QiR...some of the real korea is in its hiking culture. Get yourself some proper gear, and head up into the thousands of trails that are in and around seoul.

  • Oh, I will be up there soon enough. I have a great pair of shoes and an awesome camelback!

  • Glad you're enjoying Korea! :)

  • Absolutely!

  • You're going to Sydney?

    Yeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaa!

  • Late weekends in seoul, read 'SOJU'. I was introduced to the culture through a 2nd grade school mate and recently with a great co-worker. Thx for the postings

  • You're welcome!

  • It would be wonderful if you could make a video with some footage of you meeting up with these new friends in Korea.

  • I'm sure I will.
