  • I remember that day. SF called in the jdams and made some jam members realize that they made a poor life choice.

  • Judging by the timeframe, I'm gonna guess that you were the group from FL that transitioned out around the beginning of Sept 2007. I was the only Flt Ops Spec in the group that relieved you guys. It was on and off for us. IDF picked up for a while and then dropped off. Toward the end of our rotation it became nearly totally quiet at Echo and picked up for a few weeks in Tallil. God Bless

  • we counted 81, either way it was more than enough, but by dec. of that year from the people I talked to that replaced me things were night and day. JAM wasn't screwing with the military too much. I know when I came back from leave in Aug. that we were getting virtually no attacks compared to mid july back to feb 14th which was when they began attacking regularly.

  • the burned out building was the camp laundry- hit in early may. killed a KBR gal who had only been in camp for about 3 weeks and had stayed late to help out. the july attack was an attempt to take out the sf camp.. and I believe I lost count at 84- mortors were bad, rockets were a motherfucker........had alota a/c units to repair
