Thank you very much...it is appreciated. I was looking for the fugue to end all fugues for college auditions. If I can pull this off then it almost has to guarantee entry.
"Regis Iussu Cantio Et Reliqua Canonica Arte Resoluta" "At the King's Command, the Song and the Remainder Resolved with Canonical Arte" Recheche playing...well done!
Hi, Seabamirum, took a look at your picasa - the fingerings are wonderfully detailed. Thanks so much for this - I shall enjoy this great piece for myself thanks to you!

@Seabamirum Can you perhaps send me a link to your fingerings file? I'm not really sure how to get there. You did a fantasic Job of playing this. how long did it take you to learn?
self taught pianist? God you make me sick with jealousy. ok we can criticise pedal and erratic tempi towards end but... you have done so well, a beautiful effort
I was absolutely enthralled by your fantastic touch and voicing, until you began using the pedal. Nonetheless, that was an amazing performance of an almost unplayable 6-part fugue. Congratulations
thanks! Maybe I did use the pedal a bit much towards the end. sometimes I need it to tie certain notes together but then it's easy to get distracted and use it too much.
Even though yo might not feel that you're playing connected without pedal, I guarantee that if you don't use it, it will sound better. Take a break from the piece for a month or two, then come back and don't use your pedal at all. Your fingers will learn new positions and it will sound much better.
I've loved Old Man Bach for decades, and this work in particular as well. One of the great compositions of all time, by a Master at the apex of his abilities. You've interpreted it beautifully.

Very cool, just read about it in a book, described as rhythmically irregular and highly chromatic!
