I love this woman so much. as a kid i had a greatest hits tape, yes tape im born in 83 and i played that tape so much. I love singing could i have this dance at karaoke it always gets couples dancing. Anne Murray we all love you.

I wasn't born yet when this song came out, but I do like the movie it first appeared on (1980's Urban Cowboy). The movie also featured songs by Kenny Rogers (Love The World Away), Boz Scaggs (Love (Look What You've Done To Me), Johnny Lee (Lookin' For Love), and Charlie Daniels (The Devil Went Down To Georgia). All five of these songs are still farely popular, even 30 years after the movie was released. I think "Could I Have This Dance?" was a good torch bearer for the movie. Can I get an Amen?

there is something so elegant and believe it or not "soulful" about this woman's voice. i don't know it's an ineffable quality.
