I have an MPC 2000xl coming in about four days. And this shit gets me mega excited as well as inspired. I've started out just using a computer and a dumb little midi pad, and I'm hoping for this piece of equipment to give me a whole new feel and mindset. Seriously, I have the highest expectations in the world.
is it wrong that i am sexually attracted to the mpc 2000xl?
i just love the fact that a floppy disc is an 8 second drum break in a physical form that i can stack and collect in my own library just like records, i own an mpc 1000 and it can do all that load/save in the blink of an eye but just doesn't feel the same, i just cant stop going to my 2000xl.
Gotta give it up for dilla, premier, flying lotus, and thes K, but since i started listenin to hip hop, PETE ROCK has stood out for me, consistently dropping fly music
