Carrot's only help vision in the dark, this movie twists the concept and makes it look like carrots help your vision in general. The plot in this movie is stupid, but then again this movie isn't meant to be intelligence, it's marketed to dumb teenagers or dumb gun fanatics.

Also, some of the scenes ought to be called "intelligent", beeing better than most of what hollywood "produces"? That includes the plot, that even if implausible, suits this movie perfect (unlike most "such" movies).

@shanshorshe The belief that carrots help improve vision comes back from WWII during the Nazi bombing of the UK during night. They encouraged Brits to eat more carrots because they could spot the German war planes better in the dark. Carrots only help eye sight in the darkness.

Carrots helping vision in the dark was a story put about by the War Office during the Second World War. They were trying to keep secret the new invention of Radar by saying that the members of the Royal Observer Corps were eating carrots to improve their night time vision, thus explaining our improbably high intercept rate of the enemies aircraft.
