If a kid in school has a hit list of 10 people , kicking him out of school doesn't mean it will stop him from doing what he planned, he could easily just come back to the school when he wants and start firing away or stabbing people. By kicking a kid out of school you're also not helping him you're making things worse for him.
Obviously a kid like him has problems but instead of kicking him out perhaps the school should have hired some sycologist, who is trained to talk to people like him
There have been bullies in schools ever since schools first existed, and it was always pretty easy for any kid to get hold of a gun or knife. That doesn't explain why students these days are bringing them to school and threatening/hurting each other with them. 25+ years ago, I remember that kind of violence just didn't happen. If you had beef with some other kid, you settled it with your fists.
cont. so the problem really isn't the guns themselves. After all there are many ways to hurt people, guns are just one variety. The problem is the community. I can totally see how guns in your community would be a bad thing and how you would want to place a blanket ban on firearms completely. The only thing I can think of is to remove federal bans on guns in schools and give states, counties, and cities the power to enact their own laws so that your community can ban them and mine can have them.
cont. The problem as I see it, isn't guns, it's the community. Guns were well integrated into my community (Montana). And I don't think there was ever a person at my school or the other similar schools in the area that would intimidate others with a gun. It would be seen as dishonorable. If you were that serious, you hit the guy and expected him to hit you back. It's a completely different culture, and I can totally see where your mindset comes from and how guns work in one community and not ..
I'm almost 30, when I was a kid, people brought guns to school. It was usually for a history class, show and tell, or for pictures, and it was common to see guns in people's trucks. And you know, it was never a big deal. Then about 20 years ago people really started freaking out. I don't think it has to do with a worry of heated debates getting out of control etc. I think there are a lot of people in this country that just think that guns serve no purpose and should be banned from daily life.
Wow you made a good point! And i thought you were going to demonize and scream about school shooters and act ghetto. I'm glad your nice and very well educated.
I am very passionate about school shootings, and school/cyber bullying. I think it's very important to become aware about these kinds of things. Maybe I can help a person become more open-minded about kids who are being bullied so they can feel compassion towards them. Thanks for watching! @emoknight162
@Penelope416 Bullies, criminals will always exist. I'm not saying that is a good thing, but when people are pushed to a certain point. Eventually you will get more and more incidents like the Virginia Tech shooting. There are people who cope with this and those who are a time bomb waiting to blow.
@Mariobros956 I disagree, I was bullied everyday and I never brought guns or knives to school. I wouldn't say most likely although a few might, because not everyone can handle it mentally as much as others. Most people who get bullied don't end up coming to schools with knives , guns etc., they may get more aggressive and violent but most won't go to the extent of bringing weapons to class.
i brought a gun to school to be cool and show all my friends and get caught the next day or a week later NO i brought it for protection but i did get caught in middle school for bringing a gun
my dad got arrested and the kid who put him away brought a butterfly knife to school and threatened a teacher. before that and after the arrest, i agreed with him that we can stay friends.
but what pissed me off was that when he got expelled for bringing a butterfly knife, a court document said "joey irvine has been picked on by the anger boys, forcing him to bring a knife". we (the anger boys) never talked to him. my brother was even at a different school.
Wow. Tough stuff man, tough stuff. What a world we live in. They probably were on his side because they felt sorry for him. I mean, there was a reason the kid brought the weapon to school. They thought he was bullied. They must put the blame on someone eh?
okay, on tuesday january 23, my dad was sentanced to 9 months in prison.
my step mom could not pay the bills and the house foreclosed ( i live in 2 houses).
because of that, i could not go to my school in that city because our taxes were not going to that city. now i live in one house. and i go to a different school district, my dad is on house arrest for 5 years (3 more left).
Well Just so you know, I am not really 18, I am 14 and I am A freshman in High School.
No one understands how I feel when people laugh at me. They never understand the hurt. If I ignore them they try to get me say something back but I don't. I just wish They can stop and understand that I am different now, and not the kid I used to be. (I used to act out in class but I matured but people don't get it)
You are right about that but then they would want to fight. If I got into a fight it could ruin everything for me. I would get expelled and be forced to move to get to a different School, which I might not even get into because I got into a fight at this school. So that is why I try not to start things. But if it was somewhere else, such as out of school then I would Probably Just punch them, But the more grown thing to do is just ignore it.
i made a guy move last year he stole my weed with like 12 people i left school and found out were he lived and after school i was waiting for him and the rest is history and his mom was a cop lol just my luck.yea thats true what you said
wen i was in 8th grade this kid was gonna stab someone. it was wen we were walking to the doors and a bus driver said HEY!! he didnt stab him but he would have. but the kid was a phyco. he has friends but i gues he had issues with this one kid. but my town is one that is clean and not ghetto. its very nice. i never thought it can happen here. it can happen any where.
The point is people have feelings. People also have problems that need to be sorted out. And we as humans hurt inside when those problems don't come to surface. Pain and sadness doesn't discriminate anyone. It CAN happen to anyone and anywhere.
And to answer your other ?s, yes i carry my firearm with me every day. And to answer your concern about my weapon falling into the wrong hands, i will say that criminals, no matter how many gun laws America makes, criminals WILL still be able to aquire firearms illegally. So i think if the wrong hands want guns, the wrong hands can get them illegally. This is a bigger concern to me because the students who bring guns to school have NEVER misplaced their weapon and had it fall into the wrong hand
yes the students who do qualify for a conceal weapons permit do have to compleate a course that educates people on state and federal laws, and how to handle a firearm. they also have to be 21 or older and have an exstensive background check that must show NO criminal background. And to give you a feel for the stats, this has been legal for over 60 semesters in utah and there has NEVER been a violent shooting by anyone, on campus or off, who has a concealed weapon permit.
thats good advise for people who have violent tendancies, they do need help. but let me tell you the solution to the victims side. im a college student in utah and i, with thousands of other utah students, legally carry concealed firearms to class everyday. that is really the ONLY solution to campus protection. the more guns on campus, the safer it will be. push legislation in your state to legalize conceal carry on campus. there are many instances where this has saved many lives.
Thanks a lot. But what are the cons and coincidences of having legal guns at school? Are there helpful programs to teach students how to use those guns. Do you carry your gun around with you everyday and if so what if it lands into the wrong hands of someone else?
Criminals, afraid to face opposition, turn to burglary. Burglary increases
Yes, there are programs to teach people how to use weapons, and when it is appropriate to use arms.

Also the swiss milita system is just like Austrias (my home country) you buy the equipment, keep it at home for the duration of compulsory service & then return it. The only time it is legal to own such weopons is during service.
ok u prob know more about it than me....but from what ive read, they do keep the guns after services...w/ 20 rounds. What about czeck republic vs russia. More guns in czeck than russia, but more crime in russia. Remember i hold that gun ownership doesn't have a positive or negative affect on crime. UK prob has less crime.... but, the knife crime is up. I know i know u guys (mybe not u in particular) want to ban knives too.

the same reasons they take place in schools people one people keep fucking with them or two nobody is listening to their out cries for help. Kids in schools out cries might be any thing from being beat bad at home to getting beat up at school and in the inter city their out cries are not being able to put food on the table or not having their moms and dads taking care of them or not having the money to provid. But no one care until they do something crazy like shoot up a school.
I also think its a wake up call for some students and employees. It's a wake up call to get them to figure out why they did it. It's also a reminder to us all that, instead of going along and laughing with your friends, talk to that one person who needs it.
You know kids brings guns and other wepones to school to ensure that they are safe from other, people fail to see that if you push somebody until their back is up against the wall then they have nuttin eles to do but act out and some time that means taking other people lifes. It's even more funny that people take school shotings and try to figuer out what went wrong in the child life but when it comes to the inter city kids they don't give a fuck. Killing take place in the projects for some of..
You said it SHINE. Sometimes the school shootings just happen. After the mishap is over with, some people just revert back to their old ways and pretended like nothing went flying through the air.
