dont knock the Brooke Animal charity, they do a wonderful job, and dont forget, these people that rely on their horses, mules and donkeys are very poor, not able to afford treatment for their animals, are also very ignorant about how to treat them when they become ill or are injured. Its an excellent charity with dedicated vets and staff. Just go visit Sidmouth donkey sanctuary, UK. and see how calm and gentle these creatures are!

There is far more important things in the world right now than donkeys, theres cancer, hiv and all this stuff and what are we doing? helping the donkeys. What the hell are we doing this for? i mean fair enough help children getting abused but why does it matter that a donkey has a bad back? And why do they make it so the donkey is talking? a donkey cannot talk

I have to say that this ad, whilst extremely effective at tugging the heartstrings, doesn't really get across what the Brooke does. It's not merely a case of 'save the donkeys', there's a human element too. Lots of these donkeys are relied upon by people in the middle east and third world for their livelihoods, but through lack of education or resources they simply aren't looked afterproperly. The Brooke's work is as much about making life better for these people as for their donkeys.
I think this is a very good cause and cant believe some of the comments here. Children is our future and for a better tomorrow they need to live in the reality & regardless how much this upsets it is vital to grow up knowing hundreds of poor people & animal suffer all around the world & some of us are lucky not to suffer to that extent & to thank everyday for what we are and help those poor things who need our help. Moaning about these charties & pretend everything is wonderful is truly sad.
