They see them as heroes doing something superhuman, whereas military personnel do everything behind the scenes and are their actions are swept under the rug as if its a daily chore. Corporate sponsors also pay an arm and a leg to simply buy airtime during sports telecasts. It's a joke, but unfortunately that's the way the world works.

Your show is great! Professional massage therapists are under appreciated. I know I'm one. Busting my ass not only to learn 13 different styles but also learning psychology, anatomy, and physiology. In Australia, our teachers have a starting salary then every year they have the opportunity to do this thing where they document all their work & if they did great work they get a pay rise. It's a great system coz the good teachers who put in all the effort get recognition & more money & the lazy shit ones stay on the same pay scale.
I believe that the members of our military, public safety (Law Enforcement, Firefighters, and Emergency Medical Personnel) and educators are the worst paid and most undervalued members of our society. We (I am a Law Enforcement Officer, married to a Teacher) are extremely undervalued and underpaid.
I think that a near 40k/year for teachers is fine. I go to school and am a Medical Technology major. I have 34 hours of class per week (including 7 three-hour labs a week) and work my ass off. My starting salary will be about 55k/yr when I graduate. My roommate is a Math Education major. While I bust my ass 5-6 days a week he goes out to the bar on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday each week. There should be something to working for what you get, hard work should pay off.

Coming from Canada, I can say that in the undervalued list I'd put military personnel, teachers, firefighters, police officers, etc. Overvalued I would say athletes. I'd say the common man is the most undervalued person in society. We keep rating people on jobs or degrees or credentials, but really, it's just a thing a person can acquire. A person's true value can't be rated by a society. And on the same note the people who are most overrated are those who people vote are worthwhile. Everyone contributes to society in some way or another, and you may not even know how much just by job title alone.

Most under appreciated Top three, Social Workers, Teachers, and today's young people. Overvalued people, the majority of Congress in office and the retired members making that same paycheck for the rest of their life. Every single piece of crap rich person with millions of dollars. If I had that kind of money and nobody knew, I'd meet people in real life trying to make a difference(college kids for example) and BAM college help. . . Medical help anonymously. That would be a totally awesome job.

Coming from the film industry...
Most undervalued are the screenwriters. We're the ones that create the story and the script. Without the script, there is no movie, plain and simple. Also the grips, costume designers, gaffers, craft services, audio and cameramen who bust their asses for hours on end to make sure everything is setup correctly.
Overvalued: Movie stars. A lot of them will complain if they don't get top billing or refuse to work a project if their salary is too low. Bitches.

Your show is great! Professional massage therapists are under appreciated. I know I'm one. Busting my ass not only to learn 13 different styles but also learning psychology, anatomy, and physiology. Helping to heal every type of person. Mostly ignorant and closeminded. Questioning my expertise and wanting a massage they can't get. Ex: person with high blood pressure or a place maker wanting hot stone. Its ridiculous. And many bosses under paying and over working us with no health benefits.

Also middle school/high school teachers need more credit they grade 100 papers a day and many are forced to teach the same lesson over and over again all day. Elementary teachers grade less than Half of that but they have to deal with obnoxious tattle tale kids and deal with kids that are bratty as can be. I think athletes are over paid but should be appreciated because they are away from their family so much BUT they are away doing sometin they love.

In Australia, our teachers have a starting salary then every year they have the opportunity to do this thing where they document all their work & if they did great work they get a pay rise. It's a great system coz the good teachers who put in all the effort get recognition & more money & the lazy shit ones stay on the same pay scale.

I believe that the members of our military, public safety (Law Enforcement, Firefighters, and Emergency Medical Personnel) and educators are the worst paid and most undervalued members of our society. We (I am a Law Enforcement Officer, married to a Teacher) are extremely undervalued and underpaid.

I think that a near 40k/year for teachers is fine. I go to school and am a Medical Technology major. I have 34 hours of class per week (including 7 three-hour labs a week) and work my ass off. My starting salary will be about 55k/yr when I graduate. My roommate is a Math Education major. While I bust my ass 5-6 days a week he goes out to the bar on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday each week. There should be something to working for what you get, hard work should pay off.

Coming from Canada, I can say that in the undervalued list I'd put military personnel, teachers, firefighters, police officers, etc. Overvalued I would say athletes. I fucking hate how athletes get paid seven figures to throw a ball down some grass while I get paid $30,000/year to get shot at and be asked to die. Imo it's bullshit, pure and simple.

under valued: any person who actually cares enough about someone else's rude, snotnosed kid enough to regularly spend their own money on school supplies etc... (my stepmom is a teacher) and caregivers. we take care of everyone's aging relatives, often have to do some pretty nasty stuff and are rarely appreciated.
overvalued: pretty much any overpaid celebrity... so all of them. provide entertainment but don't be an ass.
