Some good advice, but I question whether online giving is better. Credit card companies and processing can charge businesses up to 3% of the transaction. So if you give $50, then $1.50 might be eaten up. A stamp is still cheaper. If you give more, it's worse. Also, the time it takes the charity to open an envelope and sign the backs doesn't seem that time-intensive.
