@TJARVIS13 There was suppossed to be a follow up album in 2006 but it never came - because of Gavin Rossdales success in Bush it makes it hard for him with these new guys, really they don't suit his style, but Distort Yourself still is record of 2005/2006 for me!! Theres loads of hits on it that remind you of Bush, particularly the earliear songs, no one gave it a chance.
@lohello567 completely disagree, i stopped buying bush albums after the 2nd, institute to me sounds way better than bush, besides bush doesn't have one album that i like all the way through, institute sounds raw and fresh and i like every song on that album
@lohello567 i agree, this was a very underrated album, it should have been awesome but it was all about how it was a bush knock off. its a shame i would love to see where it could have gone or the records to follow! you got a good ear my friend!!!! :)
i actually really like this..i have always like bush. but this is more of my style than bush. i really like it whatever gavin does is amazing. and does anyone know if this album is available still?
this boom box needs batteries.....wtf man his lyrics isnt ne good but its a good song and yes i agree he was better on bush but yet i still dont see why when he was on bush they were having declining sales well i bet if bush came back they wouldnt

I like this song the way its really dynamic with just bass adn drums for most of the verse and then the guitar comes in and then its kinda blasts in the Chorus's (which is actually the weakest part of the song nad yes the chorus lyrics suck) but its still pretty good song
they are bad. mainly the boombox requiring portable power lyrics...
I also can't stand his constant repetition of a lyric at the end of EVERY song he's ever written. Example: "Glycerine, Glycerine, Glycerine, Glycerine, Glycerine". Has anyone ever noticed that he does that?
I think if you listen you'll find he does repeat a lyric at the end of pretty much all of his songs. examples would be "comedown", "cold contagious", "Greedy Fly", Everything Zen"... pretty much every song.
i noticed it years ago and now i can't get it out of my head whenever i listen to his songs. it's fairly annoying. he does it on his new solo album too. he's a one trick pony.
I like Bush so this is fine.

He just has to do Bush again.... The new stuff is ok but for my opinion it's way to much mainstream radio-rock.
Superman, Hurricane, Swallow - Goddamn, that were amazing songs!

@D0m18 I can't find Superman the song anywhere. Which album is that off of?

Not the greatest song. But Gavin's selling point isn't necessarily his voice.

It gives hope to guys who dont sing in emo falsettoes. And who write good lyrics.

Lyrics aren't bad...just far too abstract. great music though, the bridge of this song is perfect

And maybe thats a song from his youth?))

Hey, stop it! It's a song of mood, and the lyrics are metaphoric, though quiet strange.
