Mr. Kirwan, I must say that you and Peter Green were the two guitarists who have inspired my guitar playing all of my life. I first heard you in the 60's on the Albatross and English Rose albums. I was just learning to play lead blues guitar at the time and loved what you guys did. To this day y'all are both my favorite guitarists.

well im getting it a bit,key of C, using both major and minor pentatonics, but my gosh its hard to replicate greeny's sound, and also hes vibrato shaky fingers makes all the bends super hard to sound right, some advice please?how is this done he's slipping in all these notes from the major scale and kinda alnernating, theres the bends at the end wheres hes bending a D note up to E and then flicking between bending a D# note up to an F, kinda like in hideaway with clapton, how?and why?more how

Oh yes of course, i didnt want to sound like i was saying you were incorrect. It is just this album in peters words was an effort to get a Freddie King vibe flowing through it etc.

Peter's playing especially with major ballads as you say is very like to BB king, he was the best at taking this influence and expressing himself through it without being just a cheap imitator.

Yeah. This is the best version of Fleetwood Mac. There were other good ones, until they hit it big. But this band all came from John Mayall's bands.

Danny I was there. You and Peter were the best. I played with you guys and BB KIng in Phily. After that I followed you everywhere you appeared In NYC. This to me was the real Fleetwood Mac. I met you guys through your roadie Jimmy a "Scot". I had a blues band ,"Great Jones' . Worked later with Leslie West and help put on "Woodstock". Always sad you guys didn't take over that era.

Indeed, one of many under rated players. Danny Kirwan, Kim Simmonds. Clem Clemson long before he got lengthy. Just that Green and Bloomfield at their best hit something for me that no one else does.

I've no time for youtube guitar wars though! Glad they've all been around and done it.

Just unbeatably the best. Taste, touch and tone. Only him and Mike Bloomfield really had that intuitive feeling for the blues. Strangely both Jewish, both troubled, both Les Paul players.

Many other good players for sure, but technicians or pyrotechnicians by comparison.
