I am another who this film will stick with me forever. I remember seeing it on PBS I believe as a teenager and never forgot the factory scene and how powerful it was by just dancing their duel...thank you for posting it.

I saw the film back in the early 80's. I hVe tried to find the film since then I know it has been out of print. When I found it on line I littealy cried I just love this scene. Back in the early mid 90's I took my mom to see the opera and she knew one of the actors and I worked with his brother such a conection. The power of the opera has a great hold on me.

I had this movie on VHS and this was one of my favourite segments.

Just bought the DVD of the trilogy at Amazon.

Laura is obviously the better dancer, her lines are beautiful, some flamenc dancers have an aversion to beauty which is sad and why flamenco is very popular except for in spain
