  • Seems I'm not the only one who just likes to take a bus and destroy anything. I also like it when the cars are sideways stuck onto the front of the bus, so if you meet something solid, that is your crumple zone :-)

    And of course, cruisin' on the highway in a bus with two stars and like 5 police cars

  • the physics generator in this game is the brand new Euphoria gen. So far, it is my favorite one, right next to the havoc gen used in half life 2/G mod

  • ur right about PROCEDURAL CHARACTER ANIMATION.

    hope many more games will support it in the future, this will also use CPU, ffs i can run crysis all maxed out with my gtx 280 and dual core 2 gh cpu, brin on the quad cores ^^

  • Thank you for not being a douche and arguing with me about whether Crysis has procedural character animation or not. Stupid argument, I know....but if it doesn't have it, it doesn't freaking have it, no matter how awesome you think the game looks lol

  • also i want to say that not even gta4 completly has it, it has a mixture of procedural animations and plain animations.

    When a character is walking normal animation is used instead of muscle tension (procedural animation), the procedural animation kicks in only if you hit the walking ped. Sometimes it kicks in with a delay sometimes it doesn't kick in. Try having a open door on a car and hit a ped while moving in reverse whit that door, he will make a san andreas like anim.

  • another example is when u kill a ped , then stand on him. your legs wont go through the dead pedestrian ( its procedural animation) , but if you jump (niko's jump isn't a procedural animation) your feed will be in the dead ped.

    but still, gta4 is really beyond anything now, there is nothing like it on the pc platform.

  • You are right. I use Endorphin LE (an euphoria physics animation engine) and a "procedual animation" is an animation where the motion transfer just transfer the movements of the reference character (not transfering the position and rotation), and you enable colisions on the animation event. A "non procedual animation" has no colisions, and has "full transference".

  • You should try the flatbed...that shit is fucking tank too, hard to find, btw those are the ones with the ramp on top

  • I didn't cheat lol, the way cars get destroyed in GTA IV is when their engines get f-ed up. THe engine in the bus is in the back, so almost nothing touches it. Hence it becomes a great battering ram!
