@danwats20 That's about right... I have a 2003 WR250F which was tall that year (39" seat height). I am just about 5'9" and can barely tippy toe it. It's a tall bike fore sure! But, a side bonus is... nobody even asks to ride it. :) It's a little intimidating for the newbs.

hey dan remeber me the guy asking u all the questions about the 250 wr... well i Got it!!! my dad uncorked it fully he even took the grey wire off... this thing is a straight up rocket the pipe is even fully uncorked it is amazing we went riding last weekend and were going again on thursday.

id say no to the ttr 125 and kx 85 would be nice but if u wanna go for anything in th smaller bikes go for the CRF150R (race version of the honda 150) its got plenty of power and nice suspension, the guy thats riding one in this video is seeling one but look around they r a good bike

if your are looking for a high end trail bike then KTM is ur best bet, although the ktms are way more expensive

ya i heard that to. the CRF250X has more low end power... but when u put an exhaust system on the WR isnt like ending up as the same as u say snapy.? and just curiousty why would u want rock hard suspension when your trail riding anyway? just wondering.

well you dont want rock hard suspension but when your suspension is to soft it sart messing your handleing, also i have done some mx racing...(just to try) and soft suspension isnt good for that. also you want a little bit harder suspension when you off road race, which im currently into

well im not sure the best pipe for the bike, you would have to look at reviews for that. but i do know that DR.D tests their pipe with yamahas so that would probably be your best bet. also the computer does tell you your top speed when your moving but i havent really played around with it so im not sure all that is can do but im sure it would say your average speed in a certin time interval.

i dont think so, it might be considered a better trail bike because you dont feel most bumps because of its pillowy suspension but i think the CRF250X is snapy-er

well i only have one bike and the closet mx track is 3 hours away and i wanted to try racing. i only race like twice a year....and my friend on the ttr is quite good, since then he has gotten a crf150r and is now selling that for a 250-xc 2-stroke...or whatever the ktm off road 2-stroke is called.

my step dad wont let me ride my old ttr 125 anymore because someone was riding it and broke some spokes ( wasnt me riding it) and he fixed them but he sais i ride it to hard on our jumps so i have to use my crf 250x for our jumps =`( , the 125 is smaller but you can hall ass without the fear of washing out or flipping over backwards while wheelieing

well, you could loosen the suspention and if they break then your goin to have to order a new set of spokes or take your bike to your local yamaha shop and they will fix them for like 10 bucks

i would say tighten it. cuz the spokes break when the suspension bottoms out. and the ttr bottoms out ALOT. You cant adjust the suspension anyways

oh yeah, don't really regret getting a WR but i would like to have the CRF power. i've never really had a problem getting anywhere with it, but i just wish i had that little extra snap every once and a while.
