Ummm.... no. You either use the X360 version which is just uses a usb port or the PS2 version with a PS2-USB adapter. No re-wiring necessary. Plus this game is free so all I had to spend was $30 on a used X360 guitar controller.

Guitar Zero is for PC not Xbox. It's not for people who suck at guitar hero like other morons said, it's for people who want to download more songs and play on their computer which is probably a faster processor than a PS2.
