@thegoodthebadandfred It's very little like RDR in my opinion. Actually for me, this game was so overrated. Before i got it I was so damn excited and couldn't wait to get it, but once I started playing, I was so underwhelmed and bored within seconds. I usually love "sandbox" games and basically if it's set in the 40s/50s then 99% of the time I'll love it, but this just didn't grip me... perhaps my expectations were too high, but if they were it's only cos of all the near perfect reviews for it

graphics are debatably ok - personally I thought they were nothing special.
game play is simple but restricted, for example can't use guns outside of specific missions, can't climb things that you can when in an actual mission chase.
Story for me was boring and predictable
Cars, while good looking were pathetically unrealistic in handling/acceleration and damage.
@psshhhht1987 the difficulty was too easy because even if you messed up the questioning, you'll still be able to catch the crook through other methods such as tailing the suspect. The characters were annoying, especially the main character - Cole Phelps.
To be honest, Mafia 2 generally gets bagged out heaps, but in many ways I found it more entertaining than LA Noire and that's saying something because M2 wasn't great by any stretch of the imagination.

If you like action, it doesn't have as much as RDR. If you like the fifties, detective stories, and cinematic storytelling it's better than RDR.
