@plutobauer I don't think the TT RS will be replacing the 458 or whatever in posters on the walls of American kids. But now having one, it is terribly fun to drive, and the sound is something else. Instead of a Ferrari, maybe it can be considered a sort of baby R8. ;)
@plutobauer americans have a soft spot in their hearts for german and european cars in general. propably because there are more unique, same as in europe with japanese cars
No. It's not considered anything like an R8, don't listen to him. This is, and should be considered competition for higher end American muscle cars, porsche, and the BMW M line as well as some other luxury japanese models. Anyone that considers this a R8, or Ferrari is an idiot. That's like saying the corvette Zo6 is replacing a pagani zonda
@SPDKNGG it's NOT his TT RS you know that right and also the Audi TT RS does not come out in the USA until early 2012 or late 2011.....(same goes for the RS5 and R8 GT)
@krnazn323 This was actually in Virginia; the Michigan plates are sported because the car is owned by Audi. The car was brought out to TT-East 2010 to let participants see and drive.
@davegrbic Dave, it belongs to Audi of America. The representative demonstrating the valved exhaust in the video drove it down to TT-East 2010 so the TT enthusiasts at that event could check it out and take a test drive. At the time, it was the only TT RS in the US.

stunning ride, I'd be tempted after my 135i - friends think it a little too girly, I say f**k that, the TT-RS has balls.

The M5 standard has a cracking sound, that video makes the TT RS sound less than great, if you want it to sound great you need after market pipes
