Strike Freedom is by far the best Gundam ever made if you don't count the GN Drive (far too fake; unlimited energy?). I'm not going to explain in details but I will say this.

It has nuclear power which is similar to the red/fake GN drive and in space it can use the Dragoon system (Fangs). It's also an extremely fast gundam with EM shield

However, in close range combat, Exia Trans AM is obviously more powerful. Then again, at that speed, the pilot shouldn't be able to see where he's going...

I'm under the impression that Gundam Meisters are able to operate at max speed or Veda wouldn't have picked them. Regarding the GN Drives, Strike Freedom's Nuclear Reactor also gives it unlimited energy, so they're on even footing there in terms of realism, or lack thereof. Strike Freedom's so spammy that even if I could stand Kira, I'd still be bored to tears by its fighting style that appears to be made of stock footage and one-hit-kills.

and destiny gundam, i would not really not compare it to anything because, its pretty much just an upgraded versions of the impulse and striker packs... its powered like the strike freedom.. eeven if u put in a better pilot, it is still limited to a short range battle.. long range is just a blasster that has a slow fire rate and a regular beam gun.... the designs could at least been more elibrate....

Anyone notice that they left out the gundam trademark "blonde guy wearrin a redundantly fancy white mask"? They had the opportuntiy too, they could have made Graham's mask white but instead they went the route of Seed Destiny and opted to make it black like Neo Roanoke's, he even got it in a similar fashion. Whatever happened to the good old days where having your mobile suit blow up IN SPACE mean not comming back in the next season? I guess I'm just old fashioned that way.

His suit was never shown exploding. And the mask suggests that his face is severly injured. His suit was stabbed by a non-heated weapon, so it could've been rendered inoperable, but not exploded.

yeah the new series' tend to pull j. abrams all the times and always leave things up in the air. It workds great in the right amounts but too much is annoying. gundam 00 however is doing fine imo. Its about 500 times better than seed, though seed had the potential, the crew just f'ed it up by having nothing but clip shows and stock footage, while 00 has almost NO stock footage and only one clip show

- Four Gundams will be introduced in the second season. The Gundams will make use of the Meisters' special qualities, like a software upgrade. It seems it'll be unpleasant to use.
