England did not steal Scotland. The two countries were joined together when the Stewarts of Scotland also became the monarchs of England after Elizabeth I's death. Thus, the long time enemies became one nation. I'm in support of Scotland's independence if it's people want it though.
you do realise that the union of the crowns did NOT join the nations don't you? it joined the CROWNS.

That's all very interesting BUT... what about the EU. Gordon Brown (Scottish) and his Scot predecessor Tony Blair (Born in Edinburgh)signed over the sovereignty of Scottish oil to Brussels (Lisbon Treaty)along with the independence of the UK.
The EU now has sovereignty over Scottish oil, so are you talking 'independence from the UK' or are you talking REAL' independence as in - from the EU. If you don't mean from the EU then you are just talking the politics of resentment... of the English.
YAWN... gorndon brown...BRIT... tony blair... BRIT. We are talking an independent Scotland. If you are going to bore me with the break from the EU argument then england should pull out then. and as far as the lisn treaty, a new an independent Scotland won't be a signatory of it.

I do not resent Scotland wanting independence, the Scots can leave the UK if they so choose, the point is independence from the UK but absorption into the EU sounds like a very confused idea of independence. So if you want out of the UK but into the EU then it would appear the real issue is that your are anti-English. Have the courage to say so.
