This is incredible. Here we (the world) have a Slovakian band single handedly re-creating distributing and preserving one of the only original US art forms...Jazz. The irony is delicious....and perhaps lost on the citizens of the US.

1. because we did not have any luck for good agency

2. because we live in Slovakia, where the tradition of this kind of music actually does not exist and the audience is very stable but very small...

3. because the market for this music is generally small and it is full of others, who work more on the fame than on the music, so they have better results in being famous

4. because it is not our priority :-)

i am some what of a lost soul.. i am 20 years old and probably one of the only ones of my age in my country ( Netherlands) that thinks that you guys are great. @bhsisthebest I too wish BHS would become more well known in our part of Europe and in the USA for that matter. Lots of old 1920s -30's tunes both American and German are well known, so why not? I also like the Slovak text songs. (Some of it I understand because my ex-wife is Slavic from Ukraina) Nice to read about BHS and good to know there are more people interested. I hope SUCCESS will go your way. Dobry !

Big respect to Vince, we know each other, he has our cd's. too. He is a great musician and bandleader, too. We do a big band battle with the Melody Makers from Prague, also called Swing Ball here in Bratislava and Dance Hall Evening in Prague. I wish you all to be there!
