well,its a nice nice try,but,its too big of a risk to do a big formation and i think you did noot very well and the mellaphone solo was messed up by the rushing tempo of the toms and again,its not much of dif watching ur past syfs and this,every thing you do is almost the same,even the songs,some were repeated and the tom solos are really getting old,and the band is like trying to compete with each other in terms of tempo and loudness,its advisable that you guys break away frm tradition.2010. =)

Haha,i'm not in any maching band. I'm just commenting my point of view. I have been to singapore for numorous SYFs and also around asia for Exchange progs . So i do roughly know whats the better option. Hence suggesting it out.
Besides,if i'm not mistaken,the next coming SYF would be at some Indoor stadium. I am seriously looking for a good show to be put up by you guys. For it might be another obstacle for you guys.For i know numorous S'pore bands have to resize for it.

perhaps the dragons not long enough? If it was longer and more distinct people wouldn't confuse it for a worm. Some TKians themselves oso got confused.
Then again these are sec 1s... Can't really expect them to do like what the professional do right? These professionals train over years... These sec 1s only had like... 4 months at most...
Insults and Promises are not even worth a single cent! Not falling out even when your hands and legs are starting to fail you, taking your own initiative to practice, shouting encouragement on the field, being punctual, and of course, playing your hearts out.. produce results! and they certainly worth 30, 000 dollars, our name in history, and most importantly.. our PRIDE!
Just one correction. TK name is not in history. TK is still a class of its own and all marching bands in Singapore still respect TK as the champion of 5 consecutive SYF. :) Kudos!
Deyi has won our respect for taking the trophy away. But hell, your guys really did deserve it this year. Whenever i sat down for syf competition, my heart knows TK will win. This year however, Deyi send shivers down my spine.

TK Band, Let me remind you that out of 100% for syf judging, 40% is music, 50% is execution of formation and drills, 10% is showmanship. It all depends on you! Lifting up your legs 90 degrees, playing your music perfectly, and execution of drills win awards! I wish you all the very best in 2010.

i think tk the quality of playing and melody is better than deyi but deyi has this innovative aspect. i think its going to be great to see both chs in 2010 mayb even at the youth olympics!!
Cuz at this stage, I don't think TK Band is just aiming for GWH when they go for outdoors. They always aim for the Best Display gleaming throphy. Lol..
Although TK band didnt win, they rule! But the fact that most of them cried is a pity. They tried their best. Maybe the judges were blind but the dragons did look like worms. No offence though.

I used to have a senior who said that to me once.
And it certainly applies to us. Maybe losing the title wasn't such a bad thing.
It has certainly bonded the whole school together in this sad moment for TK, and it makes us take a step back and judge ourselves from a far.
Tk Band has a 10 year history every TKsian should be proud of. :)
