It;s the sort of movie that makes you want to live go on a big fucking road trip just for fun and hope to meet people like in this movie.

I first saw this movie years ago on IFC I think? My brother immediately bought the DVD for me and I am still watching it today. The music makes me think so much of how great life can be. Love Kikujiro =)

i havent seen the movie!!! isnt funny that the reason i found out about this was spirited away?? spirited away-->spirited away soundtrack-->joe hisaishi-->summer-->kikujiro thats how i found out about the movie!! now i want to watch, especially with all these good comments on the movie!!! can i buy the movie or watch it online (does anyone know... o_o)

this is the first movie that made me cry. It was filmed perfectly with amazing acting. Beat Takeshi has real earned the right to be called a legend.

Kikujiro is a joyous, wonderful thing. Beat Takeshi plays a brilliant part, reality only intrudes for the briefest of scenes and the movie benefits from it
