Moksha is EARNED, not given, and that is the essential difference between Moksha & Heaven. One can beg for Gods mercy, grovel like a dog, and then be allowed to taste the pleasures of a flesh-pot heaven, but one cant beg for Moksha, because Enlightenment is acquired thru knowledge. Even if the Teacher takes pity on a student who turned in a bad paper, and passes him, it doesnt mean the student had suddenly acquired the knowledge. Reach for the Higher goal, reach for Moksha.

Let's dump this vile, abusive, disgusting concept of Hell. God buys love & loyalty with the threat of torture? A Gandhi, Teresa, Mandela would never think of torturing their enemies, whereas a Saddam, Hitler, Stalin would. This is the company that God keeps?

Karma & Rebirth is the better way, the non-violent way. You are not punished, nor are you simply forgiven because you begged enough. You are reborn, given another chance to make amends.

hell is not a concept, it was mentioned by someone who able to see it or worse who experience it. sure you can say it shouldn't exist. Hell didn't exist before and sure wasn't created by God but us. i don't understand the soul in hell suffering part, but look at the real world, genocide, animal cruelty. for them (human and animal) pretty sure this world is hell for them. of course you can stand firm on your believe

@kaimingw Right I do understand that this world can be a hell or heaven based on our actions. What i am against is the popular notion of a hell run by God - that is what is troubling & disgusting. God has to use crude & brutal methods to get his message across? The same God who can turn a Hitler into a Gandhi with one single thought?

Such hells are being taught by primitive religions using primitive ideas to scare people into remaining in the cult.

@kaimingw Please write about thes ideas - i don't know where you are but you can write to your local newspaper or magazine or other to spread good ideas like these. Just read today - water wins not because of strength but because of persistence. The pen is mightier than the sword.
