Today, Congressman Griffith of Alabama's 5th District announced that he is switching parties to become a Republican. While Griffith's party affiliation may have changed, his conservative values and commitment to his constituents has not wavered. His opposition to the Democrats wasteful stimulus bill, the job killing National Energy Tax, and government takeover of healthcare make him our welcome ally in stopping Nancy Pelosi.
Absolutely not! I'm all for health care reform and removing greed. However, I also believe that we should have the freedom to choose in the United States. That's why i say support a public option.
Obamas healthcare plan is making people very angry! It is destroying the Democrat party. According to Rasmussen Reports, in a generic poll Republicans beat Democrats 43% to 38%. Republicans will probably take over Congress in 2010. Google Rasmussen Reports Generic Congressional Ballot and see for yourself. This is a huge turnaround for Republicans. People are fighting mad. And it is not just the Republicans either.
In correct. It's 38% before they hear more about what President Obama's health care plan actually provides. Once they hear what it provides, support shoots up to 53%. 67% of those polled disapprove of the way Congressional Republicans have been handling the health care issue.
People do want healthcare reform but not Obama's plan. Obama and the Democrats are making a big mistake. Perhaps they do not remember when the Clintons tried to take over healthcare in 1993 and the Republicans took over Congress in 1994. According to Quinnipiac University poll, by a 72-21 margin voters do not believe Obama will keep his promise to reform healthcare without adding to the deficit. By 57-37 margin, voters think healthcare reform should be scrapped if it will add to the deficit.
Gov. Kaine, how about the many people out there are smoking , weighing over 300 pounds and wondering why they are sick and always at the doctor.... How about rewarding the people who are healthy instead of many them pay more for people who aren't don't care...
Gov. Kaine, If Obama really wanted to reform healthcare he would let health insurance companies compete like auto insurance companies do. If he wanted to "bring down cost of healthcare" he would stop letting these malpractice suits go so high, I know people are hurting but the amount of money they award these people for "pain and suffering" is insane. Also, he would spent 6 months getting together a better bill, instead of picking out a dog, that wasn't even a shelter dog like he promised.....
We all know what's wrong with this guy heading the DNC. The PEOPLE: the Grass Roots People, the Voters: DID NOT CHOOSE HIM. WE CHOSE HOWARD DEAN and this guy does NOT REPRESENT US OR WHAT WE WANT. HE IS A CORPORATE REPRESENTATIVE.
actually the president selects the rnc chairman and dean announced he would not stay on. we vote for obama, by extension kaine is we voted for in the package
Gov. Kaine, Americans want single-payer. They don't want mandates for private insurance, and they don't want a weak public option with a 7-year trigger. Give the American people what they want, not what the murder-by-spreadsheet insurers are demanding.
I just know that people want reforms, because the current system is ineficiant, immoral, and frankly it's unamerican that there're so many uninsured and underinsured in the U.S. in 2009!

YES! "health care system" is an oxymoron; it's a "medical insurance syndicate."
We want a single-payer system... it's the only way that makes sense.
