MK 1st came out in 1992 and KI didnt come out till 1995. i love both MK and KI but MK had an impact on the idea of KI. just think about it, throw MK and street fighter into a blender and youl get KI. both SF and MK are the reasons why we have KI. its more like MK for the design of the game and character development but it has the fighting mechanics of SF

@Jemini29944 no its not actually because Microsoft Game Studios actually said they were going to put Killer Instinct 1 on XBL first to see if people were still interested in the franchise and they were going to convert it to HD, Killer Instinct 3 was always the one that probably was going to be more harder to create it seemed

Actually, I've seen a few of your mame playthroughs and I was curious as to what your PC specs are? My mame always has this weird lag after about 10 minutes of gameplay where the sound starts skipping and the frame rate becomes non-existent, but it only lasts about 5 minutes then snaps back to normal. I figure it's something to do with my hardware, unless you know of a fix for that kind of problem. I googled, but no luck.

i remember spendin pounds and pounds and pounds playing this exact same version on the arcade in megabowl at white city retail park in my early teens....those were the days.. this version never came out again..just a crapper version on the nintendo ultra 64.. it jus wasnt the same as the arcade machine.. Damn i remember when this came out, i was 18 and sf2 and mk were in full swing; but this was a whole new level man.
