@BioPuppetOfficial Agreed, if Ron Paul is sworn in, I hope to God he is at least able to keep his voice, but those were also my hopes for Obama and I was bitterly disappointed. Now I know better than to found my hopes on a single man (or group of men), but I feel we share similar views on the direction in which the country should evolve and -on grounds of principal at least- I support Ron Paul fully.

@nicolibri Come to think of it, if Ron Paul is elected, I have to admit this fact alone will be a small revolution in itself, insofar as the traditional parties will no longer be able to afford to ignore him. Maybe a middle man is what we really need to abate traditional political feuds, but it might also translate into hostility directed at him from both sides. I expect he'd take quite a lot of heat.

@BioPuppetOfficial Dr. King influenced policy in specific areas, he did not bring about a revolution i.e. did not change the structures of power, which can also be said of a change of government (yes I am aware that the US government comprises the cabinet, I'm a US citizen after all). Also, "democracy" is a generic term, I can assure you the US fit the definition (although some might venture to call it a timocracy), I have made no error, with all due respect.
