  • Is the Hole in the Rock trail near the Hole 'N The Rock which is on US 191 south of Moab? The Hole 'N The Rock I'm talking about is a tourist area where they take you on a tour of a house carved out of rock. I've been there.

  • @WKHalford Hole in the Rock home is 15 miles S. of Moab..

The Hole in the Rock this video is about is 175 miles S.W. of Moab..

it is 11 miles E. of Hall's Crossing Marina on Lake Powell..

  • @deserthorizons Okay, I didn't think there was a trail at the Hole 'N The Rock home. Thanks.

  • @fathinking Don't mean to be rude, but it's not "cars" that go there.

And he never said that no one else had been there. The fact that this is a named TRAIL and that he give the name of it PROVES he knows that.

He said as far as he knows it was the first LIBERTY to drive that trail, not the first vehicle.

  • Down is easy, traction isn't usually an issue because gravity is working for you. How many sweet videos do you see of people going down ledges and hill climbs. Thats a nice mirror hanger you got there, try going up la-de-da.

  • Obviously you did not read the "info" on the video..

You have to go back the way you came in.. Meaning every obstacle has to be done BOTH directions..

  • great video. should be doin this trial on a dirt bike though. it only take 2 hours, not two days.

  • that's sick!

  • Check out my 4-door Wrangler Unlimited - Steel Blue Metallic video on my page!!!! :-)

  • that kinda looked easy but it probly isnt

  • Point is to be able to get from point A to point B. Civilized people no longer appreciate what an accomplishment this is.

  • what did that accomplish?

  • They had fun. That's what life is about.

  • i must say i do hate jeeps but that hill looked pretty steep and it got down it well

  • Been here, done this trail. You never get a real sense of how steep this slickrock stuff is until your own sphincter has gobbled up a wad of seat cushion. Nice work! Keep the 4x4 videos coming!

  • Easy,,, put the 4x4 in lowest gear and stear. The rock fase where those people are standing is 65deg, that's 45 and very easy on dry ground. You can hear them hitting the brakes, i'd have to ask why?

  • looks hard to do but also pointless

  • Jeeps rock

  • Ok. This was to show skill. Not make dumbasses like gaijinhan69 laugh..

  • pretty awsome

  • You guys are an inspiration to other KJ owners.

  • what the fuck....i think i missed the funny part

  • this is no 65 degrees angle, this is 40 degrees max, and by the way, europeans would do this with a vw vanagon

  • So, commercial in disguise? LAMO

  • omg

  • allllrighty then :p

  • I did this section in an old Beetle.

  • what ever

  • My guess that the actual incline is about 65 degrees. The only thing the euros have to do that is a parachute.

  • Now that is funny!

  • now you know whats funny ? Goin a little bit faster doin this stuff cuz doin this and makin' a movie out of it makes it look like you are bored... :(

  • gaijinhan69, i don't think anybody said it was supposed to be funny. you know, youtube isn't just for "funny" videos.

i don't think you understand how skilled a driver has to be to control a vehicle down a 65 degree slope.

  • now go up it?

  • wow din know the liberty could actually do that...goob job on the trail!

  • in the commercials they go much faster

  • that looked fun!

  • obviously they dont have the new land rover disco`s out there

  • Land Rovers? Please, we like vehicles that don't require selling the family jewels to repair (which a Rover will require).

  • KERMIS ATTRACTIE!

  • Good stuff, funny how people don't think its much effect, yet drive Neons to the mall I imagine. :)

  • isn't that truth, give them the keys to a 4x4 and watch them total it trying to drive down a hill such as this one :)

  • une autre niaiserie d'américains. messemble qui y a assez de route asphaltées pour s'y promener! pas besoin d'aller faire de l'escalade.

  • tu vien dou toi

  • You made it look easy.

  • you want to impress someone, try driving UP the hill!

  • You HAVE to drive UP to get out of there..

Every obstacle on this trail has to be done both directions..

  • completely agree

  • with what?

  • You are a good extreme driver.

  • You must have a very good suspension etc on that VW bug because that hill is far harder and steeper than it appears.

I'm not American but it looks cool all the same!!

  • I think this is a very american thing.

  • yeah, you could tell from all the tire tracks on the trail that hardly anybody (give or take a few hundred people) had ever driven down this hill before. wow, the "red rock 4-wheelers out of moab utah" sounds like quite a bunch of desperados. i'll bet it takes 4 out 5 beers to drive that hill all by yourself. funny thing is i drove down that chute in a '65 crown victoria about twenty years ago and didn't think it was worth talking about.

  • this is boring

  • and? what's your point?

Have you ever been here? Have you ever seen this "Chute" before?

I belong to the Red Rock 4-Wheelers out of Moab, Utah and we rate this trail a 4 out of 5 for difficulty..

This is a much steeper hill than it looks on film.

  • Jeeps are so much fun ;-)

  • Makes me wish I still had my TJ... dammit.

  • Is this supposed to be fun? I don't get the point...

  • It's a Jeep thing.

And because I did it in a Jeep Liberty, which a LOT of people said couldn't do it.. and I led 5 other Jeep Libertys on this trail also.. No rock stacking or winching the entire trail.
