Between the GT and Z06 its as close as one coughing while driving and making that small time difference mistake. The Viper is a whole different slower story.
First time I have ever heard a review where they say the Viper is good "entry level" car for inexperienced drivers. All I have ever heard is they extremely capable and their limit is huge; however, once it passes its limit it loses control extremely fast. Or as Clarkson would say it "bites your head off"

@pocketfiend36 the acr would have destroyed everything here.. its 600hp. that back wing on the acr puts down north of 1500 pounds of downforce at 150mph, for the most part the acr viper is planted to the track at all times. the rest of thease cars are great im a mopar fan myself so i love the viper..

The GT won't be made anymore 06 was the last year which is a good thing for a car collector it is the best supercar ever made until now (sure there will better ones with the time) but this car is a great piece of history to have, one of the very few cars which cost more than the original MSRP after used even more than a Ferrari or something else, ford sold the first ones for around $130 then raised the MSRP to $150 now a good package costs about $200 and with the time will be more. Gotta love

I'd have the Ford. And I'm not really even into Fords, or most American cars for that matter - but that GT is utterly gorgeous. It doesn't matter if the new ZR1 could probably beat it in a drag race; the GT runs on the Rule of Cool and that's good enough for me.

how about an acceleration test, braking test, and a slalom test? ...or just getting the fastest lap time for each vehicle at the same track! which i'm pretty sure the results come in reverse (for Nurburgring) (but i think it's the acr and zr1, which both are Much cheaper than the GT)

If it was the same drvier and same track and he drove all day with each car, like these guys most likely did, the results will be genuine. Skid pad, slalom, and even breaking tests dont mean everything. look at comparisons with the new ZR1 and 911 turbo.

Lets see.... I believe the GT40 was banned at LeMans because it was too good. I also believe there were Viper GTS-R's winning a ton of races towards the end of the 1990's and Corvettes have won their class at LeMans six times this decade. Hell, a Saleen with a Ford engine won this year. There are very few cars in the world that can match the racing heritage of any of these.

I'd have the Ford. And I'm not really even into Fords, or most American cars for that matter - but that GT is utterly gorgeous. It doesn't matter if the new ZR1 could probably beat it in a drag race; the GT runs on the Rule of Cool and that's good enough for me.

one lap with each car? that doesn't really prove anything. it's a second difference which could vary from driver to driver
how about an acceleration test, braking test, and a slalom test? ...or just getting the fastest lap time for each vehicle at the same track! which i'm pretty sure the results come in reverse (for Nurburgring) (but i think it's the acr and zr1, which both are Much cheaper than the GT)

If it was the same drvier and same track and he drove all day with each car, like these guys most likely did, the results will be genuine. Skid pad, slalom, and even breaking tests dont mean everything. look at comparisons with the new ZR1 and 911 turbo.

Lets see.... I believe the GT40 was banned at LeMans because it was too good. I also believe there were Viper GTS-R's winning a ton of races towards the end of the 1990's and Corvettes have won their class at LeMans six times this decade. Hell, a Saleen with a Ford engine won this year. There are very few cars in the world that can match the racing heritage of any of these.

as far as i can tell, the vipe has the most power but is so hard it cant be driven on the street. like the viper, th gt has no electronic controlls, but it mages its power much better and has many more luxuries. the corvette is the cheapest and the most bang for your buck, but its shitty interior and build quality, plus the fact that it rides hard and has twitchy handling, means you cant help but know why its so cheap. i thing the ford is the obvious, if most expensive, winner. still a bargain

@Leopards100 How about this. The GT is faster than a C6 ZO6. Is the ZR1 faster than the GT? Yes. That is a fact. But the fact remains, the ZR1 is just a ZO6 with more HP and SOME different parts. That is a FACT. The ZO6 and ZR1 have the same body design, and interior. Much like a GT and a GTX1. A GTX1 generates 700HP and is lighter than a regular FORD GT. The GTX1 beat the ZR1's time in Thunder Hill by 6 secs. FACT. Either way. The GT has more quality than the Corvette.

Chevrolet didnt even take the time to atleast make the ZR1 unique from the ZO6. They were lazy. The GT on the otherhand was unique from the GT40 because of all they wanted to make the GT a tribute to the original GT40 with the 21st century touch. The ZO6 and the ZR1 are the same except one is faster.

@Leopards100 Chevrolet just wanted to mass produce Corvettes for the buck. They didnt want to waste money on actually making the ZR1 alittle unique from the ZO6. I know many people can only tell them apart from the hood of the ZR1. Atleast people can tell the difference between the GT40 and GT. The GT's interior looks much better than the ZR1's and its built better too. The ZO6 is flimsy. Is it fast? Of course. Is it faster than the GT? Yes.

GTs literally live in Gas Stations because they get poor miles to the gallon. GT were built for the track. ZR1s were built for the track too, but they wanted to expose it more to the people. The people who have money to spend and dont race. They did a really bad job deciding if the ZR1 would be more of a track car or street car.

The Corvette is the same too but its the way FORD and CHEVY actually decided to build the cars is what really matters. CHEVY was LAZY. FORD chose the Ford GT out of ALL the cars they have made, for their 100th anniversary. CHEVY didnt really put enough effort into the ZR1. They couldve done alot better. Regardless, I love both cars and I love racing vettes and GTs. They are a blast.

The F-150 doesn't lose that much power to the drivetrain. The truck is geared for pulling. Who gives a fucking about GM. The new GM trucks are shitty as hell! motor trend are biased? it dont matter if motor trend does the test,edmunds,car and driver, me, you , your dad, my dad, your dads dad. if you put 7500lbs behind each other trucks the truck with the most hp and the most torque are gonna move that load more efficiently its simple power/weight ratio if you factor in the over all weight of the truck and the load and divide it by each trucks HP/TQ the GM will always have the better power/weight because it already has the most power!
