@kj6bbs Hey there Chris, I´m cought in between the 817 and the 857 D for a little more power if you might need it, Have you ever tested a regular 20 meter mono band dipole versus the buddipole ?
I´m planning to take an HF rig to the fields in the world known Torres del Paine National Park where I work as a mountain guide, will send you a video if I do so. cheers and best 73´s CE-8-EYS Bob
@wallyce8eys Thanks. The antenna I use is called the mini-Buddipole. It's basically a vertical dipole. More can be found out about it if you simply Google it. Thanks for watching, and I hope to work you on the bands some day.

@wallyce8eys No I've never used any other antenna. The Buddipole has had such great results I've yet to make a change. Besides, when I am out hiking or biking I need something that is small and lightweight for packing. I know of the Torres del Paine park, and I hope some day I can visit it. It's very beautiful there.

m0ogy, Thanks so much! Winter is great here. Colder this year than most others, but still beautiful. I visit this spot often.

Hi Chris,
Nice video! It's neat to get to hear what you sound like from the other stations perspective.
You've got a fun website and it looks like you're having a lot of fun in Ham Radio.
See ya on 20 meters.

Hey Dick,
Good to hear from you. Thanks for the web site comment, and yes I'm having a blast with radio. SOmetimes I wish it wasn't just a hobby =)
The main reason why I post these videos is for my contacts more than for myself. Feel free to use the video however you'd like.
